I have never seen it there. It was one of those things I noticed a while back (a week maybe? two weeks?) but put it on the back burner until now.
But for all I know it might have been there 3 weeks ago and then disappeared, or may have never been there for me. But I think it was about 2 weeks ago that I actually noticed I could not delete things from the Timeline, and that there were no links that would bring someone to the comments or posts shown in the timeline feed.

Ultrajam, i did that, noticed this a couple weeks ago actually. Hard refresh does not help.
Just now I also tested it on my Mac laptop with Safari- same thing as what I experience on my windows desktop with Firefox. Looks and acts like in my above attached screenshot.

Yes I applied this code solution you described it in a way i could actually understand (this time...l o l ). It works well and should really be default for Ningja bundle users IMHO. Didn't even need to clear cache.
It's a relief to not see that personal profile stuff plastered over every group.

p.s. I think your second way of explaining it was way more hard to understand. I followed your first instructions and it worked fine. Only thing was you didn't say foirst where the template was (which I had to ask you), and then I was confused when i found more than 1 divclassrow but assumed it was the last one i was supposed to paste above.
It worked well.

Ah, ok so the search is not 'broken'- it's more that the search isn't working the way you'd like it to. Maybe edit the thread title then, to better reflect that?

To compound this issue, I now realize that any new comment etc posted in a group that appears on the main page Timeline/Activity feed does not indicate where the comment was posted nor have a link to go see the post or comment. See my thread called "Suggestion for the Timeline" that I just updated with this issue.

SE, I've been looking at your code solution for the personal profile info being so overwhelming in each group, but I do feel almost all Ning creators will find this to be something they must change, and for the Ning Bundle I feel it really should be default. It's not a small detail as you'll have dozens of people month after month (for all eternity) getting thrown onto some long departed member's defunct profile page every time they click to try and go see what they think is the GROUP's videos and discussions etc.

SE, is there some solution that Brian suggested that I'm not seeing?
When you said "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you thank you thank you the results were absolute perfection"- it sounded like Brian made a solution suggestion? Where/what is Brian's suggestion for solving this issue?

Also, in my main page Timeline feed: although I can click on member names and get taken to their profile pages, if the timeline item is that they posted a comment or post someplace on the site, I cannot click on it to get to go see their comment or post. My cursor turns into a pointing hand while hovering, but it won't click me to anywhere.

SE, can you restate again which modules do not have working search functions for you? I can test them on my site and report back here if you make it clearer instead of going into other details or other wants. Thanks!

I get no trash can nor any other option upon hovering over a post in my main page Timeline/Activity feed. That's why i started this thread.
Using Ningja skin. I don't know what a 'site built timeline' is.

SE, within which area is the profile_header.tpl you are referring to?
In the Ningja skin? In the Group module? which module?
