Question Regarding Seamless Module Function

Using Jamroom

My idea would be we would have a choice to use the ALL VIDEOs code in place of the profile_video.tpl code and then remove the profile tabs for 'Youtube" and "Vimeo" so you had the grid layout of all videos on the profile page...add a button ( in the template code)that links to video/create page where you now have the option to either upload a jr video OR paste a youtube/vimeo url in...this way everything is consolidated

Question Regarding Seamless Module Function

Using Jamroom

Just to be clear- let me describe what I THINK we are after-then everyone here please let me know if this this the same as you want

I would like a grid layout of videos that contain ALL videos ( a combination of JR videos- youtube videos and vimeo videos) all formatted with the same size thumbnails

so that users can explore all site videos from a single page ( same as we had at Ning so no need for a youtube tab and a vimeo tab)

Then on the video/create form page we would like to be able to upload our JR videos from here BUT also have a place in this form to paste Youtube and Vimeo videos ( similar to Ning)

Just curious if we are all on the same page?

To me- if we had this coded- we could replace the profile video template code with this code so ALL videos showed on the profile page
OR
We could use this code to make a site wide video page similar to this page
http://theamericandriller.com/videos
and link to it in the main site navigation as a main page

( even with this set up the videos would be actually played on the person who uploaded its, profile page- but Im ok with this) or maybe the videos could open in a modal window on this main video page?

I am wondering if this is what others are after here as an end result?

Log out best practice?

Using Jamroom

you can log in from multiple computers...for instance you can log in as admin AND share your log in as admin details with someone and they can log in and help you at the same time using the same account

"Jamroom Lists" -- and access to the JR Glossary

Suggestions

Quotas assign different members the rights to do different things on your site

"Lists inside a widget" mean you can put pretty much any type of content on your site or any mixture of content pretty much anywhere you want it

There are tons of modules that arrange content in different ways ( any way you want) this is done in Site Builder using lists in the widgets
Thats pretty basic- hope it helps

The Big Reverse of the Web

Off Topic

The world is becoming a place where there is little individual responsibility- People growing up today seem to need someone else or some else's technology to think for them.
News media here has taken the lead and tell their viewers what they need to think concerning just about anything- today's morons adopt those views of their favorite media so they don't have to waste their valuable gamimg time trying to reason out a correct stance on ANY issue.
More of the "I read it on the internet so it has to be true" crap- then spew those "facts" as hard researched positions of your own...:) Sorry, I digress...

Well this actually brings up an interesting thing that happened to me over on Ning concerning Discussions

The BP Transocean Deepwater Horizon blowout had just happened the day before- so to give you a rough idea this guy started a discussion something simple like a single question

WHAT HAPPENED ON DEEPWATER HORIZON?

Well even though the guy did not contribute much more than that to the discussion- IT REALLY TOOK OFF! Somehow Google picked it up quick and we had industry experts from around the world making detailed explanations- even had some of the guys that worked on the platform in there commenting....soon CNN and Fox were posting asking questions and for possible interviews etc...had like 70 pages of comments in just a couple days and a phone call from NPR radio wanting interviews...site shot up to a solid 30,000 page views a day..... then out of the blue this guy that posted the original question which EVERYONE had contributed so much to decide to delete it!
I was really pissed and still am...no one person who is not an admin should have the capability to destroy so much that so many had contributed to...

My plan is to ban their IP and wait to hear from their lawyers...then talk all retarded and slobber when I answer the lawyer call ....
