I don't mind them so much on the Events page because they are in-line with the event name. On the home page they are in a separate column.

A more interesting question - for me, is how to modify the "All" on the home page so that we see the calendar for the current month as the default view.

Brian - I get inconsistent results. The About blog works fine and all of the pages I have added also look fine. However, if you look at the new features post in the FAQ in my forum - spacing is weird there, same as Strumelia is seeing in her blog posts. Could be some weird interaction with the CSS, the Skin templates, and the editor.

Another thing to note is the the "pre" style sets everything to courier and line wraps must be hand-edited. It's good for things like code when no BBCode equivalent exists but it won't work for posts. I know - I tried just for fun.

Woot Woot! When this gets done it's time to send the email to my members about making the switch and then changing the DNS!

Might need guidance on editing the config.php and rebasing the URLs, plus some guidance on timing the order of things.

I just commented out the icon ... so it's just a matter of finding something the same size that's more attractive and then replacing the existing icon in the Images tab of the ACP skin editor. Simple enough.

The one issue that's not resolved that way is that icon gets a little repetitive, visually.

Good mentioning. I played with the truncate string length in a couple of places - for example I moved Forum posts from the right column to the left column and changed the trunc from 30 to 60 characters. Makes a huge difference.

It's the small things.

Can I Non Techie Do This?

I have to second Strumelia's recommendation to keep a notebook. I actually use a workbook and have a sheet dedicated to specific things I learn.

I don't consider myself a programmer at all, and JR does have some room to grow to match some of the drag and drop functionality in Ning but being able to chat directly with the developers has made a huge difference. I started my community in 2008 and never once got the level of support I get on a daily basis from the JR team.

I did the cache clearing (in JR and in two separate browsers) and ran the integrity check and am still seeing the problem. It is on my home page in the Lastest Forum Posts section.

Waiting to hear back about the fix. Ready to send the letter to my members.
