Good mentioning. I played with the truncate string length in a couple of places - for example I moved Forum posts from the right column to the left column and changed the trunc from 30 to 60 characters. Makes a huge difference.

I have to second Strumelia's recommendation to keep a notebook. I actually use a workbook and have a sheet dedicated to specific things I learn.

I don't consider myself a programmer at all, and JR does have some room to grow to match some of the drag and drop functionality in Ning but being able to chat directly with the developers has made a huge difference. I started my community in 2008 and never once got the level of support I get on a daily basis from the JR team.

I did the cache clearing (in JR and in two separate browsers) and ran the integrity check and am still seeing the problem. It is on my home page in the Lastest Forum Posts section.

Waiting to hear back about the fix. Ready to send the letter to my members.

If you take a close look, you'll see that the forum posts are all posted by ChocLifeRoot whereas the timeline is @claygordon.

I changed the name from ChocLifeRoot to Clay Gordon but the URLs have not updated so I get a 404 every time I click on @ChocLifeRoot.

I set the name ChocLifeRoot just to have something when I created the account. What will it take to get it updated?

Is it because of the fact that I am an admin that I don't see a Subscription tab where I could (theoretically but I never would because it would be a disaster) change my Quota? I am getting ready to send a broadcast email to all members via Ning informing them of the change over and I want to include that step in the email.

The default (unassigned) Quota has virtually no module permissions. I want people to have an incentive to change their Quota.

OR - is the ability to select a Quota on the account claim form?

When I send a note to a recipient (admins can send notes to people they are not following) do I need the @ in front of the membername? Or just the membername?

What I think I may do, for consistency, is rename every instance of Memo to Notes in the Language editor and then change the URL to Notes.

I am enforcing a 140 character limit for Timeline posts and Blogs can be any length with an image in them. So Note are a happy middle ground. If kept private (not posted to the timeline) they can be used as notes to self, not the community.

I have:

purchased and installed the module
activated it
set the quota configs for it

And it's not showing up anywhere that I can see. I would have expected it to show up on my profile in the menu bar or in the Followers page in my profile somewhere. Does this need to manually be added (e.g., to the top nav)?
