I tried to add a view count for Forum using this as guide:

...but keep getting an error about the item_id when trying to add this to template:
{jrCore_counter module="jrForum" item_id=$item._item_id name="forum_view"}

admins can't delete/edit Forum stuff after updates.
Using Jamroom

Yeah, in browser it would be a problem if there was a lot of notifications waiting when you open it up in the morning. Some notifications would probably end up missed, much more likely then in email.
I don't know the technical side, might it be possible to delay browser notifications so that only one is shown per each 5 minutes or some other set time?

What I have Googled I don't think they will work with all browsers, but would give a new way for some users to find their way back to sites
