Error on Hosting check out

Jamroom Hosting

Hi - Sorry about this. I'll alert Brian about this so that he can check it out and get you up and running with a Jamroom server as soon as possible.
Thanks
Paul

Another question... is there a way to suspend a member from using the site without losing their material? From time to time I have to do this to a member who has misbehaved.

Create a new quota called 'Naughty Quota' (say). Upon creation no modules will be enabled for the quota so leave it like that. Move offender to that quota. He won't be able to create any new items, or update existing ones, but they will still show in lists.

TIP: group 'join' button tweak

Ning To Jamroom

Thanks Strumelia - All Jamroom 'front facing' language strings are editable via the ACP so this sort of clarification could be done elsewhere if need be.

Alternatively, you could make changes in the module template(s) so as to show comments to all but only allow group participents to comment.

Empty Title in Like notification emails

Using Jamroom

Hi Lorna
Sorry about this. I'm going through the Like module looking for issues and making changes to fix what I think the issue is for the multiple emails. This will take me anothe day or two as I want to thoroughly test it before installing it on your site. In the meantime, maybe disable your like module?

Artist not showing up

Using Jamroom

Sounds like you need to configure your Nova skin. As admin, hover over the ACP button then click on Skin Settings.
See a form where you can set the quotas for artists and fans, and other fields for setting featured and top artists etc.
Hope that helps

Change a member's location for them?

Using Jamroom

If you go to the User Account Form Designer you'll see that the location, country and user_signup_questions are only allocated to the Member quota. John Keane is in the 'Patron Member' quota. You'll need to enable those fields for that quota as well.

Change a member's location for them?

Using Jamroom

Your members' locations are a user field so they (and you, as admin) can do it by clicking on the update (gearwheel) button then the Account tab.

Error with OneAll module

Installation and Configuration

Just a hunch but I often get errors like that on FB itself - the "please try again shortly" is a phrase they often use, so this might be a temporary problem their end.

If an admin makes a profile 'inactive' none of their content will show on the site (although it still will be there).
If a profile is deleted, all their content is also deleted.
There is an admin option to allow members to 'self-delete' their profile. By default, it is disabled. I recommend leaving it like this then if a member want to leave your site they need to apply. You can then transfer ownership of any of their content if you want to keep it (install the free 'jrChangeOwner' module to do this) prior to deleting them.
