Uploaded images from iOS are rotated

Installation and Configuration

When you register with Adobe you'll get the ID and Secret codes. Paste them into the Gallery global fields and save. This allows your Jamroom to connect with and use the Adobe image editor. On the image detail pages you'll see an 'edit image' button.

Uploaded images from iOS are rotated

Installation and Configuration

Have just looked at your site - You need to register with Adobe and enter the Client ID and Secret on the Gallery module global settings page.

No setting in the module to allow this - sorry.
If there was, would it not just be an open invitation to spammers?

Uploaded images from iOS are rotated

Installation and Configuration

I did investigate this after it was pointed out by another Ning migrant. I found that in the archive the rotated images had another field called 'rotation' with values of 90, 180 etc. I can only assume that Ning saved the rotated image and served it corrected using this parameter. Maybe this parameter is created by Ning users rotating their images by hand on the Ning site?
However, when importing, JR gets the rotated image directly and saves it as such.
Enabling the image editor in the Gallery module will at least allow users to correct it themselves.

Ning Signup questions

Ning To Jamroom

Hi Dave - Check it out now.
The problem is that the signup questions are stored as a Core setting (as a json array) and when going to the NingImport signup questions tool, if this setting is already set, it does not redo the updating of all the users, as that can take a few minutes!!.
On your site I deleted that Core setting in the database so forcing an update of all users. I'll take a look at the code to see if I can make the user update an option.
Thanks
Paul

test site migrating 3.0 ning site

Ning To Jamroom

Zachary Moonshine:
i was wondering the same thing i am coming to jamroom probably next month and i have a ning 3.0 with almost a thousand members im not so worried about the content all the groups and blogs etc but it would be really cool to a tleast bring my members i have the data file it lets me save with the members names and emails in csv if you could do this it would make things much faster for sure

Send me a copy of this CSV file. It should be pretty simple to write a script to import these Ning3 members to JR - paul[at] jamroom[dot] net
