SelfmadeClub:
Hey Paul,
that sounds great. Thanks for your time!
One question ... when i scroll down, does the timewall automaticly load new content - like facebook does? Thanks!
Stefan ;)

No - That might be something to think about for a future release though.
Thanks

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

Ning To Jamroom

Send it to paul [at] jamroom [dot] net

Good news about the Ning2 archive. If you want to try importing it to a JR site and need any help, let me know.

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

Ning To Jamroom

Yes please. I just want to see what the CSV file looks like and what member data it has in it, then maybe use it to test the import script I will develop.

Have just taken a look at import.io - I guess it could be used to grab a current discussion thread then post it as a new Jamroom discussion, say, but it would be a bit tedious to do by hand for a big site, and I'm not sure by how much it could be automated (if at all).

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

Ning To Jamroom

I've read that Plush claim to be able to 'scape' Ning pages for content, but I see it fraught with problems, complexities, and endless support issues, so don't want to go there.
Yes, I know that just importing members is not ideal, but until Ning release their Ning3 archiver (if they ever do), that is the only option, would be pretty simple to implement, and might be of help to some Ning users wanting an alternative.

New Free Module - Annika (Live Wall)

Announcements

Hadn't considered pagination as I envisaged that a 'live wall' would only be used for latest items.
If pagination is really needed (a live update of page 2 of a list???) the page number (and page break) info would need to be passed to the template via the {jrAnnika_live_wall . . .} call.

Subrcriptions Quota Artist

Using Jamroom

You can have options to 'sign up' to different quotas without FoxyCart. You just need to configure the quotas as 'signup quotas' and the new user will be able to select which one when registering.
Hope that helps

Guestbook directly replay of a comment

Suggestions

This could be done by adding the comment form to the guestbook template, the same as comments on blogs, videos etc.

Can the old skins be used with the new JR?

Using Jamroom

Jamroom 5 is completely different to its previous versions and old templates will not work without modification. Note that there are Jamroom5 versions of the Sage, Flashback, Nova, MediaPro and ProJam skins so if your site is based on one of those, there is a starting point for a JR5 version.
Jamroom 5 does have 'ranking' and 'charting' functionality, the same as previous versions, but they are called differently from within the templates.
Checkout the Jamroom5 documentation for full details - https://www.jamroom.net/docs
