I'm not too familiar with Genosis but is it definately the Blog module? Ie. if you disable it does the site revert and the ancestors become visible again?

I was using a freshly created instance of JR on our hosting and the table tool where already there in the editor.
Is it possible to send a file attachment in a notification?

I do not think that Jamroom supports this.
You could maybe edit the email template to include a link to a downloadable file though.

I've just created a blog with a table ok using the TinyMce table tool (the grid icon top right(ish)).
Have you tried that?
Question regarding photo galleries and categories

Possibily, but the JR ethos is to keep modules as simple as possible (not always easy!!). That is why we offer the Form Designer, so that modules can be 'beefed up' with features/functionality.

You could always add a 'gallery_category' field using the Form Designer then modify the Gallery templates to suit (look at the Blog templates to see how they handle categories, or maybe the Audio templates where they handle 'audio_album' (same principle))

Presumably you have Jamroom set up to approve new signups? In that case, new users will get an email advising them of the situation, then another when you approve/disapprove them.
About Language
Genosis
Hi - Checkout any email templates in the modules. You'll be able to translate the text there (use the module template editor for this so that they are not overwritten on updates).
Jamroom error messages are hard coded in english.
