Is there a way to hide the public Admin Status (invisible mode)?

Using Jamroom

Quote: Hi Paul. Thanks. Any plan to include it to the core feature and roll it out in the system update? Thanks.
No because that is what we have the Form Designer and the templating system for ;-)
Give me a while and I'll post a 'how to' here. What I described above is pretty simple to do and explain.

How to track and log Profile Admin activities after login?

Using Jamroom

I think you are right. Admin activity on profiles is not logged by default.
This would need to be a custom module that listens for profile admin activity and logs it to its own datastore. Aparna would be a good starting point for this.

How to track and log Profile Admin activities after login?

Using Jamroom

Is the Jamroom Activity Log not sufficient for this?

Is there a way to hide the public Admin Status (invisible mode)?

Using Jamroom

Its possible.
I'd create a checkbox field in the user account form using the Form Designer. Call the field 'user_master_status' say and allocate it to just the master admin group.
Then, in the User module online_status_row template, test for the master admin and the value of this new custom field, outputting 'offline/online' as appropriate.

Profile Admin vs Link user to Profile

Using Jamroom

If a user is a 'Profile Admin' that user can edit/delete ALL site profiles and their content. You would want to give any 'site moderators' this status so that they can help with managing the site etc.

If users are linked to specific profiles, they only have control over those profiles. An instance of this might be when the profile is a band and band members are all users linked to that band/profile so that they can upload gigs etc. The user who uploaded the item will show in the profile timeline.

Hope that helps

Move Social Engine to Jamroom?

Ning To Jamroom

ok, that's a start - let me have a dump of the SE database (or the cPanel login if you're not sure how to do that).
How about the SE archive you were checking out? At this stage I need all info and options, including your SE site URL to take a look at.
Take this to a support ticket so that you can send logins and files etc.

Move Social Engine to Jamroom?

Ning To Jamroom

Welcome back Zach ;-)
I don't know SE enough to say whether this is possible or not. Is there a SE archive you can download for us to take a look at? Happy to work with you and your SE site as a 'feasibility study' into this. No promises that it can ultimately be done at this stage though.

Jamroom for Review website

Using Jamroom

Hi - Thanks for the enquiry.
There are 'live' Jamroom sites that have 10s of 1000s of members and list 100s of 1000s of items that run without issue and at acceptable speeds. We have also tested Jamroom with in excess of 1,000,000 item listings without issue, so yes, I'd say there would be no problems there.
Being able to serve your site to up to 5000 visitors an hour is down to server performance and I would say that you definitely would need a dedicated server to do this. If you do not have one already, checkout our Hosted packages that provide dedicated VPS Linode servers set up specifically to provide the highest Jamroom performance possible - https://www.jamroom.net/hosting
Can you point us to your WordPress site so that we can look it over and advise on how it might be replicated with Jamroom? (Email the url to support[at]jamroom[dot]net if you do not want to publish the url here).
Thanks
Paul

Has The Jamroom Site Showcase Been Removed?

Design and Skin Customization

Quote: Now if I could have this data migration done so my JamRoom site was live, I'd be much less grumpy.
Just a reminder that you have a support ticket open about this that we are awaiting a response from you about. Check that out and when we know which way you want to go we can progress your migration.
Thanks
