replace module images in skin

Design and Skin Customization

Yes - From the ACP goto the module and click on its Images tab. You can upload alternative images there.

Image Galleries Error Message

Using Jamroom

Do you have any custom form fields configured for the gallery update form? If so, check that their validation option(s) are correct.

Where would I find the code that dispays number of online users?

Design and Skin Customization

Thanks Steve - I just looked at the code. Didn't actually try it to see what else gets added in.

Design and Skin Customization

Unfortunately not. Have just looked at the code and that smarty function doesn't support a quota parameter. The profile quota isn't passed to the template either so nothing can be done there either. Sorry.

Convert action_data to item

Jamroom Developers

It depends on the template so put in a {debug} to see what the sub-array is, then use that. For instance, in the jrAudio item_action.tpl template its in $item.action_data so a player might look like this -

{jrCore_media_player type=$player module="jrAudio" field="audio_file" item=$item.action_data}

In the jrAction item_list.tpl template it'll be $item.action_item

Which template to use ??

Using Jamroom

You can put the code into a 'template' widget. Just be sure to wrap their code on { literal } ... { /literal } tags (without the spaces).
Or, you could put the code (again inside those literal tags) in the header or footer templates if you want it to show on event site page.

Foxycart Befuddlement

Using Jamroom

It looks like you're in the template sections of the FoxyCart setup? I don't think you need to do anything there and can leave them as default.

Site for Chinese Market

Off Topic

What sort of access would Chinese authorities need? Do they just need to see Chinese profiles and their content, or do they need to be able to login and moderate just the Chinese profiles?
If you did end up needing two sites, what 'common' data might need to be visible on both?
A bit more information on what you are trying to do, and how the Chinese regulations work will help us advise you.
Thanks

Guestbook counter

Using Jamroom

Thanks - We'll check this out and maybe use the 'post count' as default for the Guestbook tab.

Functionality and Chromebook computers?

Using Jamroom

Hi - Welcome to Jamroom.
Jamroom and all its modules and skins are designed to be fully responsive and to work on all devices including mobiles and tablets. Having said that, I do not have a Chromebook so cannot speak from experience, but there are no reports of any issues with them that I know of. Presumably you have one? If you are looking at it now, take a look around the rest of this site - this is a Jamroom in action!! - if it all looks ok on your Chromebook, that's a good start :-)
Then maybe take a look at a few of our showcase Jamroom sites here - https://www.jamroom.net/showcase

As for family tree software, checkout Genosis, a suite of modules and a skin based on Jamroom specifically for this - https://www.jamroom.net/genosis - There is an active Genosis ite here you can take a look around - http://johnsonfamily.talldude.net

What I recommend next is that you try Jamroom and Genosis out with our free 14 day trial. Goto your profile page here - https://www.jamroom.net/hummingbird-patty - and click on the Hosting button (top right) and follow that through to create your own server and database. Install the Genosis package and try it out. If its not for you, just close the server down before the end of the 14 day trial period and you will not be charged anything.
Hope that helps
Paul
