Creating a Forum

Ning To Jamroom

Hi Michael
I imported your Ning 'global' discussions to the Community profile forum, so that they show here - http://animatedfilmmakers.com/devilsangelsanddating/community/forum

You are using the Ningja skin and that has a setting for the forum URL, so if you go to ACP=> Skin Settings and paste the above URL into the Forum Profile URL field, a forum menu item will show on your pages in the header which will take you straight there.

massive admin issues after upgrading to cometchat module

Installation and Configuration

Yeah - This sounds like a simple bug to fix. I'm guessing that somewhere in the CC code a 'user ID' (and not a 'profile ID') is being used to specify a profile image (or visa versa).

A more Powerfull Event Module

Suggestions

@Strumelia - Have you got the recurring event fields enabled in the module? - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/276/profile-events - That will allow for multi-day events.

@Luis456 - Have looked at the new images. What you want is doable by using the Form Designer and the UltraJam Google Maps module, as mentioned above. Jamroom modules are designed to be initially simple so as to allow users to use the Form Designer to add the features they want. For example, another user might not want promoter detail fields as you do, so if they were there by default, it would make the module unsuitable for other users. You also say that the event page layout is too simple. Again, this is by design as the template(s) controlling the layout are available for you to modify however you want.

Hope that helps

A more Powerfull Event Module

Suggestions

I can't actually see in your attachments what your suggested improvements are - they are too blurred, but a lot of what you suggest in writing is doable now by using Jamroom's Form Designer tool and additional modules. For instance, I use the UltraJam Google Maps module to add venue mapping to events. Then there are the OneAll and ShareThis modules for adding things to social media. Also, don't forget the Recurring Events feature that is also built into the module and just needs enabling.
The only thing I'm not sure about at the moment is how the Jamroom FoxyCart or PayPal modules could be utilised to sell tickets - its not something I've tried before.

Search Timeline - never gets results

Using Jamroom

Seems to be working ok on my test site but have just tried yours and yes, no results returned. Can you send me the admin login in a support ticket so that I can check it out?

Yep - Happy Thanksgiving to all US JR users (should be a quiet day on the forums today ;-) )

Unable to delete image in Image Gallery

Ning To Jamroom

Activities are a seperate datastore item list that don't get deleted should an item they refer to be deleted, so you would need to delete those independently.
Are you sorted now? As I said, if a profile is deleted all that profile content should go as well (not activities) so am corncerned that didn't happen?

Top artists / Top songs

Design and Skin Customization

In the top_artists.tpl and top_songs.tpl templates change all instances of pagebreak="5" to pagebreak="3". That should do it.

Unable to delete image in Image Gallery

Ning To Jamroom

I bet that was "CaptainMarketing"? He signed up here yesterday and is now registering on my live JR sites!! He's working his way through JR sites trying to sell CMS marketing so maybe others will want to keep a lookout on their sites.

Anyway, when you deleted him Jamroom will have deleted all his content (including his gallery) as well. Is that not what you are seeing?
