New "Ning To Jamroom" Bundle available now

Ning To Jamroom

Done it.
Just so you, and anyone else reading this knows, goto ACP=>Marketplace=>Tools=>MarketplaceCredentials and click on Modify next the Jamroom entry in the top table. Enter your credentials. You find them on your profile page here, in the update section (gearwheel icon) in the Licences tab.

Because you already have all the Bundle modules already installed and up to date, they will not show in the updates section. There is a User Profile module update showing though so just click on the button to do that.

Isleander:
Paul I have a Ning 2.00 Archive, on my hard drive.. would that work?

If you just want to try out a N2JR import, then yes.
If you want to move from Ning to JR, then make sure its a most recent archive of the Ning site.

See this is what I mean. Step by step, I feel like a stumbling bum. *lol* I see the 'import' tab but no button to upload. Clearly I need to wake up. 7:45am here. More tea; stat!

Bit confused. What are you looking at? What are you trying to do?

se wth I swear to friggin' god that was not there over the weekend. *sigh* If I'm that blind, image how others will have a time of it. *LOL* JR might fare better if they changed the color of that tab to Ning green to make it stand out.

I still covet your bundle btw - just so I can play around and see what can be achieved.

Have you got a Ning archive to import? If so, upload it to your new Jamroom site into a folder called 'Ning_Archive' in the Jamroom root folder then let us have your FTP and JR logins. We'll then upload the modules for you to import Ning and play with.

Module Relationships and Question about counting number entries in multiple fields.

Using Jamroom

In that case, you'll need a custom module to listen for youtube creations and add that field (plus any others you might need) onto the YouTube DataStore. See https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development

Sorry. To use this in a youtube list or detail template, do something like this -
{assign var="_ytdata" value=jrYouTube_get_feed_data(`$item['youtube_id']`)}
Video Streams: {$_ytdata.viewCount}
If you include a {debug} after the assign, you can checkout all of the YT video variables that you can now use.

New User Verification Email

Ning To Jamroom

Hi @TDB - Welcome to the Jamroom forums.
Just to clarify this, after installing Jamroom, emails are setup and ready to go.
The Jamroom Ning Import module has a tool to mass email all your imported users with their new password, and this is usually the last part of the import process, so after creating @TDB's site, I put the email send into debug mode, effectively disabling all emails, so that if the tool was used prematurely, it would have just logged the emails instead of actually sending them.
