url mapper strictness

Using Jamroom

Here's a screen shot if I have entered "/David_Fuglewicz => /dave-fuglewicz" in Url Mapper and then the link is "http://tapegerm.com/David_Fuglewicz". It works only for this specific link.

However, if the link is "http://tapegerm.com/David_Fuglewicz/" it returns a Not Found.

url mapper strictness

I don't think that's quite the same.

Here's a screenshot of jr4's naming (note the url bar and the "Not Found")

url mapper strictness

Using Jamroom

Let's say I'm mapping old jr4 links to a new jr5 website. So in url mapper I set /Firstname_Lastname => /firstname-lastname, which works, but if my artist has an old link on his website like /Firstname_Lastname/ (with the ending slash) it won't work.

What's the possibility of making it work whether or not the ending slash is there?

It does appear to be something like that.

chained select issue

Using Jamroom

Yes, the 0 option is showing correctly. This screenshot showing a blog list has media and year displayed next to the category. Where it says "Cassette 16" it should read "Cassette 1996". I tried entering "1982" and it displays "Cassette 2".

chained select issue

Using Jamroom

I have a chained select field in the jrBlog form called blog_media. The 0 options are a list of album media (cassette, cd, vinyl, etc.). The 1 options are years (pre 1980, 1980, 1981, etc.). All the 0 options have the same 1 options.

The issue I'm seeing is that blog_media_1's value for 1996 is "16" and the value for 1982 is "2". The dropdown in the form displays "1996" but the page source shows this: jrChainedSelect_get('blog_media','blogmedia','1','Cassette','16') and "16" is the value for $blog_media_1 when displayed on the site.

Continuing truncate issues

Using Jamroom

Thanks, much better.

Where is the jrCore_format_string white list?

Continuing truncate issues

Using Jamroom

I continue to have issues with the truncate modifier in a {jrCore_list. I'm having difficulty making it account for a couple things I've noticed lately.

If text is italicized at a truncation point, text will continue to be italicized throughout not only the remainder of the list, but into subsequent columns as well. See screen shot.

This is currently what I'm using:

{$row.blog_text|jrCore_format_string:$item.profile_quota_id:null:nl2br|truncate:150}

I've tried many different variations without much luck.

Another thing I've encountered is when the very first word(s) in blog_text are a link, it will throw off subsequent
's and blocks get thrown around.

forum user/profile deletion

Using Jamroom

This is a different site than the one with the custom module you created.

Is it possible to log in to one of my user's accounts and see what they're seeing? I'm wondering what effect this deleted profile is having on them.

forum user/profile deletion

Using Jamroom

Hmm. I just want to delete the profile, not the user. I want to give them a profile I've already set up. It's already got information and items in various modules.

Another thing. They sent me a private note just now. When I look at it, it shows their name as simply "@".

So I'm a little confused. If I assign someone multiple profiles and later delete one, is it going to mess with their user presence like this. Or is it just deleting the initial profile created when they first sign up for an account that causes issues? I guess I could keep the "signup profile" as a kind of dummy profile, but it's a little complicated. Just thinking how to approach this, I guess.

This is potentially problematic for me because many of my sites are directory websites where I have set up profiles for people or businesses prior to them setting up an account. They often sign up for a user account and claim an existing profile. It's common for directory websites to work this way. Think Yelp, etc.
