How To Assign Custom Domain Names To Profile URLs

Jamroom Developers

It worked OK when everything was http, but now the push is towards using https which made it much more complicated to keep working.

Then browsers tightened up their javascript policies making it harder to make javascript from one domain work on another.

and then on top of that services like CloudFlare have come along to provide extra caching which adds an extra level of complexity needed to debug why its not working when it stops working.

When something went wrong, the level of support required to figure out what needs fixing is "arrgh".

So it was retired.

modules not working

Using Jamroom

Your way will break as soon as you update.

Get the location of the files from your server admin, then use the docs:

Docs: "How to use a different FFMPEG binary"

Comments on Timeline not working

Using Jamroom

The first image is not of the video's detail page, its of a list of videos.

That link needs to point to the videos detail page not the list page because thats where comments are made:

OG Tags Not Working

Using Jamroom

Thanks.

The problem is with jrMeta ver 1.1.2. I've rolled that module back to jrMeta ver 1.1.1 which fixes the issue for your site. We'll get the module fixed up.

Thanks very much for finding the issue. Sorry for the hassle.

OG Tags Not Working

you wont loose anything by changing skin.

ACP -> SKINS -> (pick a skin) -> check the checkbox ACTIVATE SKIN -> save.

Then change it back afterwards.

Site Builder not working

Design and Skin Customization

The location for the skin in the database is:
TABLE: 'jr_jrcore_setting'

Locate the row of jrCore active_skin and change its value to whichever skin you want. It may take time to clear the caches if you have them on.

If you want to send me your admin login details I can take a look at what the warning/error is in site builder, but I'd need an admin account to see that section of the site.

Send details to support at jamroom dot net along with a link to this thread.
