Design and Skin Customization

That is not something we would likely build. Seams too much like a spam bot.

Follow Me Skin Customisation!

Using Jamroom

That "Profile Skin" setting is there because that profile is allowed to use the "Profile Tweaks" module

Docs: "Profile Tweaks"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/2910/profile-tweaks

You'll find the skins option on the QUOTA CONFIG tab.

New “Profile Pulse” for profile notification counts

Using Jamroom

Got the Docs up for the Follow Me skin here:

Docs: "Skins: Follow Me"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/skins/4419/follow-me

Pulse is what powers this section:

Docs: "Skins: Follow Me : Followers, Mentions, Feedback"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/skins/4419/follow-me#followers-mentions-feedback

Batch Editor Question

Using Jamroom

not sure. They were not designed to do that specifically, just designed as tools.

The batch item editor retrieves the datastore available values, and asks you which one you wish to edit. It then shows you the info as it is stored in the datastore.

If that info that is returned is in a format that seams adjustable you can adjust it. If its stored as json format, then I would not use the Batch Item Editor to adjust it because the risk of breaking it is too high.

responsiveness issue with text editor on phones

Design and Skin Customization

From memory I expected that the editor shouldn't be showing up on phones. Do you know the make of the phone?

User Birthday Module

Using Jamroom

Some basic SSL questions with Jamroom hosting

Jamroom Hosting

If you click the yellow lock it will tell you what the issue is:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mixed-content-blocking-firefox?redirectlocale=en-US&as=u&redirectslug=how-does-content-isnt-secure-affect-my-safety&utm_source=inproduct

Its saying "this page has some images that start with http:// but they should all start with https://".

The image its complaining about is a picture of a horse.
https://pmp-art.com/upimg/image/upimg_file/4301/512

The image IS on an HTTPS url, its just that the link to it points to http. very very insignificant. If the lock image is important to you, make sure you get all your URL's correct.

oddity in latest activity stream

Using Jamroom

We'll check it out, thanks.

Hope you're members are OK with being test subjects holly. For everyone else, make sure you've read brians advice on JR6 at this point:
brian:
Just to add: Please make sure you test Jamroom 6 on your DEVELOPMENT site before upgrading ANY "live" or production site to Jamroom 6. This is FIRST beta of Jamroom 6 and there are likely to be issues that could have an impact on how your site works.
We want to find out any issues and fix them up before you upgrade your live site.

The skin that is the most ready for JR6 is the "Follow Me" skin.

The rest will probably have issues, thanks for reporting this.

changing defaults when inserting an image

Using Jamroom

That translated into programmer speak:
"When using the Editor Image Upload module to embed uploaded images in forum threads or blog posts via the Editor Embedded Media module, I would be offered a list of options to change the inserted image. Every time I uploaded a new image I'd have to re-choose the settings, this is a pain. I love it that now the chosen settings are persistent."
Thanks Holly, good to see you like the changes. They are personal too, so each persons presets will stay for them. A cookie is set on your browser to record your preference. If you clear your cookies the presets will revert.
