Using Jamroom

Here's a youtube video on adding that video genre field for the admin user.

cant download signup module

Using Jamroom

Something strange going on there. When I try to login with twitter from here:
http://exposehits.com/user/signup

It seams to go through all the steps to sign me up, but then returns to
http://exposehits.com/user/signup

with this in red:
Quote: Click here to have your Activation Email resent to you

You can't click on it, so it feels like the language string should be something else.

Is there anything in the activity log or php error log or debug log?

cant download signup module

Using Jamroom

I can see what your saying. The module change logs say that that issue should be fixed:
Quote: "Version 1.1.0
- Signup using OneAll now grabs the correct Quota ID the user has selected on the Signup page.
- Singup using an existing User Name now prompts to update User Name in user account."

So make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the oneall module.

I was able to recreate what your saying, it didn't matter what I selected from the drop-down menu, the signup would always go into the default one.

This was happening for me because the javascript that updates that info jrOneAll_set_quota_id() was not found.

Running the integrity check fixed this issue.

SUGGESTION: run the integrity check and see if that fixes it for you.

I'm looking for a suggestions on using Jamroom for Logo Contest.

Suggestions

We set that sort of system up a year or so ago on JR4. You can take a look at it here:
http://www.earner.net/contests/

for some ideas. Its all doable, just got to figure out how you want your system to work and then implement it step by step.

Duplicate folders for modules and core with different release version upon upgrades

Using Jamroom

at your-site.com/marketplace/systems there should already be an entry for:
Jamroom Network
http://www.jamroom.net

then you MODIFY that and put
Marketplace Email: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Marketplace System ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You get those from here:
https://www.jamroom.net/networklicense/licenses

it will have your jamroom.net details. once those are in, the markeplace should be working to update stuff from:
your-site.com/marketplace/browse

but it feels like a really weird question after that first one. those
jrDisqus-release-xx.xx

should only be there if the marketplace was already working.

Duplicate folders for modules and core with different release version upon upgrades

Using Jamroom

Yes, its safe to delete the older folders if your sure the current one is working.

The way the system works is the main folder:
/modules/jrDisqus

gets turned into a symlink to the most current version of the module.

This means that if the latest update breaks something, you can still revert to a previous release.

ffmpeg screencast settings to get good audio?

Jamroom Developers

cheers dude, I'll try writing to my main drive which is SSD and move the USB sound card around the USB slots. It might be on a 1.1 slot now.

I'll try moving it to a 2.0 slot to see if it make a difference.
