Installation and Configuration

The blog post will be the blogs 'item_detail.tpl' file

Think it should be the same code.

Music will not play with default "internet" browser on Android phones

Using Jamroom

Jamroom allows the upload of many different formats, then converts those formats to .mp3 to make them playable on the web.

check out the formats here, .ogg is one of them:
your-site.com/audio/admin/quota

Im not certain on conversion in the other direction. Might have to wait for brian to answer that one.

If there can be made an .ogg file available, then it should be just a matter of adding that as an option to the settings of the jPlayer next to the current .mp3 offering.

In case others want to find or comment on it. :)

Allow videos in a blog post

Using Jamroom

pch:...Is possible to do the same with comments? or A kind of video response like in Youtube....
Its possible to do in any location that uses the text editor because the jrEmbed module uses that.

Any text that comes in from the text editor is coming in as HTML, so the embed can work, but for comments, they are just straight text, so it wont work there.

Some cleaver module developer with the time might be able to sort something out, but it doesn't exist right now.

Music Downloads ??

Using Jamroom

Always good to ask new questions in a new thread so it becomes a resource for others.

a good title for the thread that people might find and find useful could perhaps be "How do i re-order songs in an album". (for next time :) )

"Re-ordering songs in an album"
Re-ordering songs in an album

See if that helps.

Music Downloads ??

Using Jamroom

add the download link into your audio modules item_details.tpl page.

http://exposehits.com/audio/admin/templates

click the MODIFY button next to the item_details.tpl file

next, add this code in where you want the download button to display:
 download: <a href="{$jamroom_url}/{$murl}/download/audio_file/{$item._item_id}">{jrCore_icon icon="download"}</a><br>

(probably best to put it right at the bottom, before the last item, then adjust it once you know its working.)

then click SAVE CHANGES.

click CANCEL.

check the checkbox in the ACTIVE column next to item_details.tpl

then click SAVE CHANGES.

that should get your button to appear.

A more Generic JR5

Using Jamroom

heres a quick video on what a skin is:

"Jamroom Skin Customization"
Jamroom Skin Customization

The most important thing to take away is that 'the skin defines what type of site it is'

and your currently using a skin created for a music site.

Since Jamroom is now MPL, you can take the elastic skin, change it, and release it to everyone for communities focused on other stuff.

@pch, seams to me you just need a different skin.

I hope others will build alternative skins meant for different purposes.
