Thank you very much. I'm sure it's difficult.

We'll take a look at it.

Best regards

jrSeamless_list in selfmade extension

Jamroom Developers

Hello Paul,

thank you very much. I have reactivated your user and sent you a password reset.

Thank you very much for your support.

Perhaps as additional information. Currently we do not manage to query all required fields in the search via jrCore_list. Also, we can only reach the sorting of the lists via detours. That's why I wanted to look at the output via jrSeamles_list.

Best regards
Swen

URLs in Private Messages

Jamroom Developers

Hi,

one of our users reports that it is no longer possible to send URLs in private messages. When typing via TinyMCE the popup for the URL comes up. There I enter the URL and the display name is automatically filled with the same URL. Click on OK and the result is displayed correctly in the editor. If I send the message, the link is gone. In the source code I see that the link was created correctly as a-tag. Only the display name is empty.

But if I change the display name after auto-filling and also give it a title, it seems to work correctly.
text to display.

Is this a known bug? We are using the latest core version and all extension updates are installed as well.

Best regards
Swen

Invitation to private groups

Installation and Configuration

Hello, Paul,

I guess I misspoke. I've already figured out the whole accepting requests thing. But what about private groups where I don't allow requests? In this group I am all alone, without any possibility to add others.

In this context I have a second question: Can I add a certain part of my members to a certain group without having to confirm the request with 300? A database script would help me here.

Thanks a lot

Invitation to private groups

Installation and Configuration

I have a question about the group module. If I create a private group and set the checkbox "Allow membership requests" to False. How do I then get members into this group?

I have tried to use the invitation module for this. But when the invited user gets the message, he still can't join this group.

Maybe there is a template that needs to be customized?

Thanks a lot.

Lock user input for some fields in own module

Jamroom Developers

Hello,
I have a question about the function jrCore_form_field_create.

Is it possible to lock the editing of single fields if the user is not admin. I would like to have a list of information filled out by the user in a own module (e.g. address information). But there are fields (e.g. membership number), which the user should not be able to change. In the example of the membership number, however, this should be displayed anyway.

Thanks a lot

paul:
I'm posting the changes here as there are other changes in the module that are still under test so I cannot relese it as yet, so if you make these changes to your current version of the GroupDiscuss module (and your GroupFiles module), you should be ok.

jrGroupDiscuss/lang/en-US.php - add in IDs 36 and 37 =
$lang[30] = 'Success - you are now following this group';
$lang[31] = 'You are no longer following this group';
$lang[32] = 'Group Watch';
$lang[33] = 'When you are watching a group for new discussionss how do you want to be notified?';
$lang[34] = 'started';
$lang[35] = 'replies';
$lang[36] = 'can create discussions';
$lang[37] = 'If checked, this User will be allowed to create discussions in this Group';

Both don't work because the system won't add these language IDs.

Aren't these words 'user facing'? Since they can create groups and have to accept members.
It's more for profile admins than for site admins or am I wrong?
