Jamroom and Nginx Centmin Mod LEMP Stack

Off Topic

I'm in the process of getting JR working with NGINX and Centmin Mod (LEMP STACK). I expect the process shouldn't be that difficult. I created a cross thread on the Centmin Mod forum.

https://community.centminmod.com/threads/jamroom.5051/

I will post and update the vhost file I create on both sites.

Yea, people are turning crazy. You close something on Reddit and the mod is labeled as a word that would probably be filtered here.

I'm just trying to get developers over here and create stuff using JR. I get feedback and let you know. Too few people know how great this script is and the incredible stuff you can create using JR.

I'll point him to this thread so he can see the conversation. Thanks! Keep up the good work! :-)

Maybe an "expired" mark?

I hear you, what you are saying is logical. But when threads start closing in mass people who are coming from sites where they never close threads, it looks weird. Obviously, I told him that the thread are probably old or the discussion ended. Maybe a notice that the thread closes auto in 30 days, to make it clear that the staff here isn't closing threads, but rather the threads are "expiring". That seems to be the case here. Most of the threads you guys closed are marked "solved".

Maybe an option for the OP to open the thread again if needed?

IDK... I sent a developer over here form IPB to develop mods and he mentioned that to me. Said in effect: why are they closing so many threads? Do they want to control information and limit discussion about the product?

It's your site and your policy, I came back to check out what he said and see what he meant.

Why is every thread getting closed? I can't even respond to some thread... because they're closed. Don't know if anyone here has ever run a forum, but closing thread is a no-no and only to be used at certain times.

I don't remember hardly any threads being closed on the old JR forum.

Nginx and Jamroom

Installation and Configuration

I started reading about Nginx in 2012, but have yet to use it over Apache. I was turned onto http://centminmod.com/ and have been looking it over and studying it. I have a dedicated server at OVH and I can get a much better server if I drop cpanel. They have enterprise and hosting level servers. The hosting level servers come with the control panel of your choice but you get less ram and cheaper chips.
