Saving Pictures

Genosis

Thanks! However, it didn't work. :-(

One of my researchers uploaded some photos to a gallery, and if I get the "save image as..." option it wants to save it as a web page.

I do not have a download icon anywhere even though my "Allow Original Download" option is checked.

I used to be able to save the images normally by right clicking, but now they want to save as a web pages.

Saving Pictures

Genosis

Hello! What is the best way to save pictures other researchers have uploaded? I used to be able to "right click" and then "save image as..." Now I get something completely different. (see attached) Any suggestions? Lisa

Uh - Oh

Hi, Brian! Whew! I think I have it cleared up. Yes, the tree was the default tree and nobody was in it so technically it was new, and yes, I deleted the old tree once the people were loaded in. It ended up not being as bad as it originally looked. Thanks! Lisa

Yes, I clicked "sync profiles" but all of the people in the gedcom were new. George now has a picture of a woman as his profile, with both of their information in the timeline. I am not even sure who is who.

I am not sure what happened to the sources, but when I click on sources it says there is nothing there. I wasn't terribly far into uploading census records, etc so it isn't a biggie, but the messed up profiles will take some time. Thanks! ~ Lisa

So, I merged my trees into one. All is well except none of the sources merged and I lost them all.

I uploaded a new gedcom of new people into it, and all of a sudden all the profile pictures are now attached to different people, and in some cases it changed their name. Is there a way to undo the gedcom upload? I don't want to lose anymore information. ~ Lisa

The Main Tree vs The Research Only Tree

Genosis

It makes sense... do I have to do that for every single ancestor if I merge them or only if I "move" them?

The Main Tree vs The Research Only Tree

It does help! I have about a handful of "research only" trees, and no default tree, and I was wondering if I clicked "merge tree" into the main tree if that would end up changing the ancestor profile numbers? Pretty much I decided I want to change how I originally set things up, but I don't want to screw it all up either!

The Main Tree vs The Research Only Tree

I have poked through your site and found it wonderful!! How do I move my ancestors from the research only tree into the main tree? Will this affect any of the folks who are currently working in the tree?
