There's truly not a skin base all around on events or venue..every skin has a little bit of media here and there but not straight up events in different formats...so the event should be the main concept with the media of music or video and gallery as an option to connect with the event....come to think about it..in jamroom everything is profile related..right but all media and gallery and everything else is all separated.

I get what your saying. You do have the embed option, if you're using the editor.

Quota settings would allow you to set eSkin up for Merchants and Buyers. If there are specific things you think the skin needs, please let me know. We like to make our products useful.
I like the idea of a udemy type skin and I'd look for something down the road. I can't give you a time frame but I was brought on board to make skins so just keep an eye out.
