Possible Issue

Using Jamroom

SeanChaney:
My hypothesis that it was being created by Profile domains is not correct. I disabled the Profile domain on the specific account above and issue is still occurring.

The link to the cart should be the same regardless of the custom domain, since that is offsite (FoxyCart).

Do you have a URL to the page so we can try checking out from here?

Thanks!

New Jamroom.net Updates

Announcements

As you've probably already noticed, we've rolled out an updated design today for Jamroom.net. Nate has been hard at work to give the site a much needed facelift, and we're excited about the new look!

Over the next couple of days we'll be tweaking and updating sections of the site as we come across issues, but if you see anything let us know.

We hope you like the new look!

Thanks!

Hey Guys

This is just something I noticed today while fooling around with something else, in the Your Votes section under Voted for, it currently shows the item id, just thinking it would be better to pull in the actual option text rather than showing a number?

I haven't looked deep into this but I didn't see a template for that page so I assume it's being created on the fly by the module.

Only a very minor thing mind.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea - we'll check it out.

Design and Skin Customization

There's a ton of stuff on that page i have no idea about.

If you can let us know specific things that you feel are missing, and are not template related, let us know and we can check them out.

Thanks!

Descendant Tree

Genosis

masterkenobi:
At the moment, I can only view ancestor tree. Is there anyway I can view descendant tree?

Descendant tree of my grand father will shows all my uncles and aunties including my parents and then all my cousins.

Something like this...

Welcome to Jamroom (and Genosis)!

Yeah currently there is no descendant tree in Genosis, and you're the first to ask. I know some other software has this feature, so it's something we can check out for a future release.

Out of curiosity, what do you feel having a view like that brings you as far as an insight into your tree?

Thanks!

Adding CSS Page

Design and Skin Customization

derrickhand300:
only it my understanding that you want to add it TO THE BOTTOM of the list in the skin_init function because the css at the bottom of the list overrides the css listed above it

Yep - this is correct - the CSS is processed in order, from top to bottom, so the bottom is good :)

How to set up designer form fields - is an overall summary of strategy possible?

Using Jamroom

To be honest, Form Designer is designed to allow you to add fields that are important to your users. This means you'll need to decide which fields you want to require, and which ones you do not.

For the most part I would recommend NOT using Form Designer until you know you need it. At that point you'll have a better idea of the data you want to get with a custom field.

Also - while in form designer make sure and click on the Question Mark help button to the right of each field - detailed help is available within.

Stream Pay

Using Jamroom

dim:
@brian, please, just let me know if you plan to modify the module as I wrote above

This is something we can look into for a future release - it's not currently a high priority though as we have A LOT of other work ahead of it. If you're interested in sponsoring developing the feature for it, contact us at support [at] jamroom [dot] net and we can look at making it a high priority.

Hope this helps!

Amazon Linux: install gives error: jrCore_checktype: unable to load checktype plugins

Installation and Configuration

tim55944:
I am installing Jamroom on an Amazon Linux EC2 instance. When I run the install.php, I receive this error. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Tim

Welcome to Jamroom!

It sounds like maybe all the files weren't uploaded to the server - I would try-reuploading the Core (modules/jrCore) just to be sure everything transferred correctly.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!
