We recently overhauled our site, and the install documentation is out of date - sorry about that (we'll get it fixed up).
Here's how to install Genosis:
1) install Jamroom 5: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/getting-started/553/installation
2) After you have installed Jamroom 5, go to ACP -> Core -> Marketplace -> Bundles and install the free Genosis bundle.
Enable the modules and skin from their "info" tab and you should be good to go.

And as a footnote, when I tried the first link in the feed, I got a "this page doesn't exist" message , but it surely does. The second one works.

Yeah - there is a ton of junk your users are embedding (probably from cutting and pasting into the editor) - make sure and update to the latest RSS Feed Reader module - there were updates that came out today to try and make things look better. Let me know if that helps.

This means there is no form session - just looked closer at this and you'll need to setup one in your template instead of using {jrCore_form_token} - i.e.
{jrCore_form_create_session module="jrUser" option="signup" assign="token"}

I think that should work.

This really depends on what is in the feed - I can say that the existing Feed reader module will not "automatically" handle media items that are in the feed (which really goes against what RSS is about, but that's for another time).
What is the URL to the feed you are importing?

No issues here - does the download for the Jamroom Cluster 4.3.1 ZIP show green for you? If so you should have no issues downloading it.

Sorry this has taken a little bit - I'm hoping to get to this in the next couple days - I've had a really large backlog here of updates I've been working through (a ton got released today) - I have a few more for tomorrow, and then I should be able to get start getting caught up on some that have been in my TODO queue.
