Using Jamroom

There's no functionality lost in Jamroom 6, so let us know if you feel something is no longer working.

Thanks!

I don't believe it is supported in a blog post, but timeline entries and comments should be working.

User Birthday Module

Using Jamroom

Holly Dilatush:
I assume that once activated, when that birthday comes, we'll see something else somewhere... I'm not sure where?
... only on profile page? a notification on home page?

From the module description:
Quote:
The User Birthday module adds a custom form field into the User Account form so a user can enter their birthday (day and month only). On their birthday an "It's your birthday" entry will be created in their timeline, with a feature that allows their followers to wish them a Happy Birthday.

comments order newest first?

Ning To Jamroom

What you're asking here is for comments to be order one way for the entire site, and then one SPECIAL way for just one location. Due to how the comment module has to handle threading, replying and ordering, this is not something the module can support.

Sorry!

User Birthday Module

Using Jamroom

Ceri:
I am using the Ningja skin and the birthdates were all imported from Ning. There is also a signup question for this . I have a b'day module already which was coded by Paul about 6 months ago and it works perfectly so I dont understand why the official module doesnt work at all. I guess I can continue to use what I already have but I wanted to compare my current setup witrh the official module and see which worked better/looked better etc.

The New birthday module is a not a ning import module - it is it's own code base that I'm certain works differently than your custom module - just don't use the new one if it doesn't work for your site.

You should be able to mention users - I'm not seeing an issue with it here.

Where are you doing the mention at?

Thanks!

Latest updates to Jamroom Core 6.0.0b1

Yeah this is messed up Gary - I don't see this here though. With yesterday's release I tried to push just those modules I felt would be needed for things to work. We have lots of other tweaks and updates in other modules as well, so it sounds like I need to get some more of those pushed to the JR6 beta channel - I'll check that out.

Thanks!

erroneous disk usage % info for my server?

Installation and Configuration

Looking at this it looks like there was an API error when our system tried to resize the disk on your server - it's currently only using 50% of the available space. I can fix this manually for you, but I'll have to take the server down again for a few minutes while the disk space is re-allocated.

Sorry for the hassle - to be honest this is the first time in a year and a half of resizing I have seen this, so will try to figure out why it happened and get some code in to catch it.

I'm not currently in my office and would prefer to do this in the AM if possible - if you can open a support ticket and I will get this fixed up for you first thing in the AM. Again, sorry for the hassle.

Thanks!

JamRoom 6 Latest Activity 'Array' errors?

Using Jamroom

The NingJa skin needs Timeline updates before this will render correctly. I believe we already have this working - we are just working on some last minute updates before an updated skin will be pushed out - probably tomorrow in the AM.

Thanks!

Missing items from Recycling bin

Using Jamroom

I'm not sure why it would happen - I'm not aware of any issues with the RB. The comment will show up in the Timeline from the time the user posted the comment. If it's not in the recycle bin, then it cannot be restored.
