Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

Make sure and check out the new Blog Post that covers a lot of the new features:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/blog/74/jamroom-53-kickoff

We'll be working hard over the next 1-2 weeks to get 5.3 out of beta and into Stable - of you'd like to help us with the new updates, make sure you are set to receive updates on the BETA jamroom.net channel - as Master Admin, log in to your Jamroom and go to:

ACP -> Core -> Marketplace -> Tools -> Release Channels

Click on the "Make Active" button for the BETA channel. Then, go to System Updates and you should see the new Core. After updating you'll see the new module updates as well.

Please let us know if you see any issues - we really hope you like Jamroom 5.3!

Thanks!

How to build a JrElastic multilingual-based site using the Site Builder?

Using Jamroom

No - that is incorrect - all of our skins are already setup to use jrCore_lang throughout - Elastic is just not setup with flags (since it only had 1 language file - en-US)

A few bugs

Using Jamroom

The current Profile Followers module is 1.4.3 - double check you're looking in that module's template directory.

Thanks!

How to build a JrElastic multilingual-based site using the Site Builder?

Using Jamroom

It needs to be added anywhere there is a hard coded string you want to change depending on the viewers language.

If you have created a template, and inside you have:

<b>This is a hardcoded HTML string</b>

You would change it to:

<b>{jrCore_lang skin="YourCustomSkinDirectory" id="5"}</b>

This would line up with id "5" in your skins/YourCustomSkinDirectory/lang/*.php files

Let me know if that helps.

Awesome - thanks for that - I will check that out and let you know. I'm only in the office here for about 5 more minutes, so it will be tomorrow in the AM when I can get to this, but I will update you.

Thanks!

template compare issue

Installation and Configuration

Sorry - false alarm :) It's working here BUT the selector is showing the wrong skin when you select it (for me it is defaulting the first skin and NOT the one I have selected) - however, the compare is correct.

template compare issue

Installation and Configuration

OK have done exactly this and it is working. Make sure in the upper right dropdown of the Template Compare that you choose "OldClone - 404.tpl (custom)" - otherwise it will compare it to the template on disk.

I'm not seeing any issues with the image here - it's uploaded and resizing correctly (see my screenshots). Have you customized your templates?
