jrCore_media_player not working on my skin

Design and Skin Customization

It's really hard for me to see what's going on in that screenshot, but it sounds like the CSS or JS may have been modified - is it possible to replace those temporarily with the "stock" button template file and CSS and see if that works?

Thanks!

Can't update module

Using Jamroom

Eddy:
But no worries, if I have to pay for it again, I will, though it is unfair, just because I can't prove I purchased it years ago.

Eddy

No reason to get upset or repurchase it - the Profile Tweaks module has not been out for years, but if you can remember any other Jamroom.net accounts you may have used BEFORE this account, the I can check those out and transfer any purchases from any other of your accounts to this account.

I definitely do NOT want you to repurchase anything, or do something you feel is unfair - it's just not a module you purchased under the "Eddy" account.

Thanks!

Still Unable to upgrade

Using Jamroom

Site builder builds SITE level pages (not ACP, not profile) so ALL Site Builder pages should use the active "site" skin.

Adding Members To Groups Administratively?

Using Jamroom

Just want to chime in here about the "bigger picture" in Jamroom.

In JR when it comes to things that a USER does (i.e. rate an item, like an item, comment, join a group, etc.) these aren't actions that an admin can perform - i.e. an admin cannot make a user "follow" another user. I think this is a good security model to have in JR, and is one I'd be reluctant to work around.

So in this case the "Invitations" module is going to be your best bet. Note that I have some concerns over it's ability to be used to "spam" other users, so please let us know how it works for you.

Thanks!

Major Problem with Read More

Using Jamroom

Ceri:
OK great....updating now. As for reporting I will try to be less nervous in future :) Still suffering from Post Ning Traumatic Stress Disorder. Still re-adjusting to a culture where developers actually care about and take a pride in the platform :)

No worries :)

We try to fix things quickly if we can - sometimes we can't always get something out as quickly as this because a fix may be dependent on another module, which in turn may be dependent on a core update or something, but most of the time if the "fix" is contained within the module (like this was) we can do it quickly.

Thanks!

jrCore_media_player not working on my skin

Design and Skin Customization

First off - glad to see you're using PHP Storm - we use that as a team here, so that's going to help a lot.

Secondly that looks good - the jrCore_media_player call is correct - have you customized the button player CSS or template at all?

Thanks!

MySQL performance

Installation and Configuration

44 seconds for the MySQL test is pretty long - even for a remote server. Is the MySQL server on the same network subnet as your Jamroom server? Ideally it hangs on the same switch. The test runs 12,000 queries, so if there is a few milliseconds of latency then it could cause the time to go way up even though single page performance will be acceptable.

The performance test doesn't take network latency into consideration, so in your case it could be giving you a low score even though it's OK. The idea with the test is to give you a general idea of the performance - if your JR "feels OK" to you, then it's fine. I've noticed that on sites where MySQL is on the same server and there is a very low score, Jamroom feels very slow as well.
