Jamroom Hosting

Yeah - all you need is to set your Nameservers at your registrar - once you've done that then the TXT, CNAME and MX settings on your end are not "active" - the active ones will be in our DNS. So you should be set as long as your nameservers are set to the linode ones - you don't need to do anything else.

Hope this helps!

Right now I think CometChat is the only chat system integrated with Jamroom 5. What type of hosting are you on?

Thanks!

Thanks, Brian.

So the email forwarding in the JR Hosting will work if I have the domain's (incoming) MX set to Mailgun?

Is that correct?

Mick

Are you not using our DNS? Are you trying to set your own DNS?

This is fixed in the latest Search module, so update and you should be set.

Picture Gallery Question

Genosis

lisa:
Hello! I think I asked this before, but I'll ask again. :-) I uploaded a picture of my grandparents to my grandfather's gallery, but is there anyway to tag my grandmother in it without having to upload the same image to her gallery? ~ Lisa

If you have the Item Tags module installed:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/29/item-tags

then you can add tags to images which will then show up in searches.

Let me know if that helps.

jrDeveloper package module list order

Jamroom Developers

Right now this is ordered simply on how they appear on the file system - I can look into updating that so it's more logical.

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I'm still trying to get my head around the email settings with Mailgun so that I can recieve email as set in the JR Hosting CP.

The big question I have is, should I have the MX settings set to Mailgun's MX server or not? I've tried both ways and I'm still having issues getting email through to the destination.

Any advice will be welcome.

Thanks.

Mick

Mick -

you should not have to do anything - the JR hosting API will talk to Mailgun for you. As long as you have updated your Nameservers to point to our hosting, all you need to do is:

- go into your server settings and make sure your Mailgun API Key is correct and save
- go into the "Domain Settings" for one of the domains on your server, and click on the "Configure Email Aliases" button in the "Email Settings" section.

Enter your aliases there and you should be set.

Hope this helps!

That should have been way, way faster than 3 hours - I'm not sure why it would have taken that long.

It's not actually running - I have a bug fix in for this so it will not show you the message. This is happening due to the Queue Client being installed since you are on JR hosting.
