so at a rough eta when can we expect work to be done on
the shops
and the search
after speaking with both foxycart execs and execs at opensearchserver they are both interested in working with you on an integration

I can't give you a rough ETA at this time, but will say it is at least 1 month away - we have higher priority tickets that are going be completed before we move on to this. We've been short handed here the last few weeks as well with part of the team out of town.

So for now if you absolutely must have features in the module that are not prsent, you'll want to do something custom on your own.

I also want to make sure you know that we will likely not be implementing all the feature suggestions here (i.e. possible integration with 3rd party scripts) - that type of work frequently turns into a support headache for us. So we will be checking all the suggestions out and implementing the ones we feel we can support moving forward.

Thanks!

Advanced-search pages for finding other network members

Suggestions

Jamroom already supports this without coding:

- create the custom form fields you want in the profile (i.e. "profile_interests")
- add that new field into the Search -> Global Config -> Additional Search Fields and save.

Hope this helps!

issue tracker list

Using Jamroom

blindmime:
How do I show a list of all open issues (for all profiles)?

You would have to do a custom jrCore_list call - i.e.

{jrCore_list module="jrTracker" search="tracker_status = open" order_by="_created desc" limit=10}

Let me know if that helps.

Solo Artist Bundle payment process is not right

Design and Skin Customization

Matthias:
Hi I just hit on a problem concerning the marketplace. The problem is that I cannot purchase any bundle at the price given in the marketplace if I don`t want to use a creditcard but want to use paypal.
The point is that in the marketplace the price is reduced by the prices of the modules that I allready own. But once I click on the "more information" button I get redirected to the jamroom.net page where the bundle is priced 59 $ and not the one that I see in the marketplace. Even when I click on the shopping cart icon then the bundle is put into the cart but of course with the 59,-$ price and not the reduced one.

This is happening with all the bundles. So is there a way for me to buy bundles with the reduced price without a credit card. I would like to buy it as usual with paypal since that is a fast and relieable payment provider.

Best

Shoot us an email at support [at] jamroom [dot] net and we can help. The majority of our sales come through Stripe, so we've never customized the bundle setup here on Jamroom.net to support it - but we can do a manual invoice for you and add the items to your account.

Hope this helps!

Personally I think having the basic site builder in polished shape is more important than just about anything.

This is our number one priority and what Michael and I have been working on - we're almost there :)

Also - we would not add "virtual goods" to the merchandise module - it's only for physical merchandise. However we have a "Service Shop" module here on Jamroom.net that we sell our services through that we can polish up and release - i.e.

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/serviceshop

That should work well.

Hope this helps!

Yeah you should have no issues on Linux, so that should fix that up - and yes - a yearly subscription gets you instant access to any releases for the next year, or you can wait 30 days and they are available to everyone.

Jamroom will not function properly on a Windows server - it needs to be a Linux, Mac OS X or FreeBSD server.

We do provide high end hosting if you're looking for a scalable super fast home for your Proxima site:

https://www.jamroom.net/hosting

Otherwise you'll want to get a Linux based hosting account.

Let me know if that helps.

Events Listing the wrong way round again in Ningja

Using Jamroom

That is exactly how it should be working if you have the "show past events" checkbox checked. What skin are you testing on? Is it Ningja?

I think what you're seeing is the lock on new modules for subscribers - new modules and skins are only available to Jamroom subscribers for the first 30 days. After 30 days they "unlock" for everyone. A VIP membership is $29 per year:

https://www.jamroom.net/subscribe

Sorry for not seeing that right away.

Hope this helps!
