You want to use the jrCore_get_media_file_metadata() function - i.e.
$file = '/local/file.mp3';
jrCore_get_media_file_metadata($file, 'distriblicense');
Will return an array of meta data about the MP3 file, with "distriblicense" being the key prefix you want for the keys in the return array - i.e. "audio", etc. (set it to the DS prefix for your module).

I have fixed this for you - root cause was there were some bad entries in the hit counter table that were keeping the new UNIQUE index from being created. I removed those and it is fixed.

The number one issue with that is that those styles are most certainly the property of Ning, and I'm certain their Terms of Service prohibit you from just "taking" the style to a non Ning site.

No - it does not prohibit it - if it is legal than they are OK with it. Like Paul said we reserve the right to not host something we think is going to cause issues for our customers (for example) or for us.

That's no problem - our Terms of Service are in line with Linode's Terms of Service here:

so as long as everything is OK with Linode, we're OK with on our hosting.
