debug is indeed in ningja skin package

it was driving me crazy thinking that i was the only 1 somehow getting that debug in the profile sidebar aftter upgrade
so to be very thourough..i created a test network a fresh jr install
in this test network i added the ning bundle
(found and fixed my group problem)
and discovered that indeed there was a debug left in the sidebar template that somehow slipped past the packager

the unchecked 'modified' templates on update are still a mystery as they were not there in the fresh install test site

groups order by latest activity

wether i use _created desc or _updated desc in order by in groups index template the order does not change but $_param shows the order_by changing
just the list doesnt reflect the re-ordering

hmm created my own groups list on a groups (not group) page
ok completed diagnostics _updated was only triggered when i modified and marked the group featured (and modify and dsave would trigger update time change)

like some modules have $item.blog_post_updated (not sure thats the actual code) the groups need a field that keeps track of any activity wether posting a comment, a join, a discussions added or replied to a page is added..etc as it is now created and updated give the exact same listing unless you edit the group
but the activity within the group has no affect on ordering no matter how its coded (yes i tried $_items._updated

is there a complex way of doing it like $_items._comments_profile_joins_discussion_added_discussion_comment_updated or some way of stringing them all together into 1 order_by statement that considers the updated times of everything

im thinking something needs to be added to the group module to alow this right?

u know what i'm going to install a clean jr install on a subdomain for testing and ask paul to addthe ning package that way i can see the behavior on a completely clean install

? kinda need to know to diagnose you see when i downloaded 1.0.10 wether updated or a fresh install that debug is in the code...every time so need to figure out why whats going wrong with the update or install process thats causing these weird anomalies

well... that wasnt exactly what was needed but might be able to figure it out from there i dont need to add a tab to my modules interface i need to add a tab to the jrprofiles modify profile interface
just like profile tweaks has
but i think that gave me clues where to look in the profile tweaks for an answer thnx..i hope

i have been trying to watch thy developers training vids but they wont play while uploading 250 gig archives

but thnx thats all i needed to know and just find the internal jr search doesnt help 1/2 the time

see thats the weirdest thing cause the debug was included in the profilke sidebar template when i updated and even afdter i deleted jrninja and re-installed

do me a favor open themodifuy template for the profile sidebar and do control f and type debug

or just copy and pastethe code here ( put code in [/

for photo titles and admin comments will i need a wipe of those?

so if it was deleted off the old site (archive) it deletes iit off the new


i removed the "delete all content" checkbox when people leave so i can control whats deleted so imporetant posts and pages wouldnt be but so i can delete everything if it was a troublemaker or whatever
but then on import alot ofr stuff saif "no user matching----- found"
so those items withoit a user association didnt import

but i see what your suggesting is like a "re-sync" option wich im sure isdoable but will take a whole recoding of the importer ..well i dont mean starting over from scratch but it will take a good bit to add that functionality

i can see where its useful
but in cases where the import and designs not taking months and months and alots being deleted chances are good that very lil will be deleted on the old end and therefore resyncing probably will only be needed on sites that take a good while to set up

especialy since youd probably just do a wipe import then a quick add on the extras and in that timeframe at m,ost 1 or 2 profiles might be removed

not saying its not a good idea just wondering if its worth the effort head of other things

oh let me add like profile tweaks has alow custom logo allow custoim background etc

id like a few controls based on quotas as well

1 allow custom css
i want that for only power users and admins
alow header customization
(ill probably allow all but other users might not want this option)
allow maim menu design changes
alow profile menu design changes
and then the general alow profile design features

i can sorta peice parts of ittogether by looking through profile tweaks
but i want to get this right so i can get to the far more involved task of actualy setting up the functionality in the skin im creating for it
