thats not what i mean i mean the js pagination refresh within a page because if u have more then 1 list that paginates it screws everything up or doesnt work at all unless u use the js that paginates without leaving the page your on

try it
put 3 widgets on a page all same module but all with diferent ordering and try paginating 1 of them see what happens

u need the js that paginates without leaving that page
the other ways dont work and i cant figure out how to do it with seemless

ok so youd need to have several dedicated servers to destribute the load to
i do find that im having serius latency right now since re-enabling the ogg conversion and doing a full reconversion the 1st 8000 files went smoothly the last 99 have taken days and days and its still around 75 to go and seeming to take hours each
i noticed theres a long delay for the servers 1st bite4s of datato be sent
i could reduce the workers and let the conversions take longer
or kill the queue and let that last 75 not work

theres just 2 last peices of the puzzle i need to figure out to go live (besides the 2 fixes i mentioned in an earlier post)
1 i just posted about putting search in its own widget

but also i need to be able to use seemless and have it paginate using the js refresh pagination inside the page

the reason is i have 3 rows with 3 lists
featured (all video types)
highest rated (all types)
newest

with standard pagination it doesnt work right and especialy with more then1 widget with pagination but the refresh the next page within the page is awesome and just whats needed

however because the way ive been doing it uses 2 templates per widget and the 2nd 1 uses code to set the modules url to murl and then builds the display from there im just unsure of how to make it work whenyour using 3 diferent modules in your seemless list

placing search in its own row outside a list template

im using 3 lists on each page .. some jrcore_list some seemless

the lists are as follows:
featured list
highest rated list
newest created (or updated depending on feature)

if i add the module search to the templates it puts a search at the top of each but typind a term into 1 searches all
typing a search term into any but the 1st 1 searches for "search'

the ideal situation would be a search field in its own row above all lists that specifies the modules being searched and returns the results within that row unafecting the rows below

the problem being that adding simply a search code to the widget wont work and displays the code as text

i tried adding the search code to a template then using wich had the same result (i figured it would but had to try)

it seems the widgets will accept plain text (and html formatting)
jrcore lists seemlesslists
but not much else
and id really love it if the module search could exist and show results within that row

is there a way to do this im missing

problem solved
i found a modified seemless template causing the issue

i had removed that alloying h3 "youtube item" line but then after a seemless update the updates wernt applied to the template (wich the update seems to have removed the h3 too)
so simply resetting it fixed it

but would the pagination in page like ive used elswhere be basickly the same even with a seemless list...guess ill try it and see

haha well just saw that it was out in the market today and was excited till i saw the price

but
if it did take 1 second off the overall load time of a page id do it
slowness was the biggest issue with my old site the new jr site on a dedicated servers nice and fast but the faster i can make it and especialy on mobile the better
1 second improvement in overall average load times would justify the cost to me


@paul any chance at all on a trial install just for a couple hours testing
and i can report the results here and if it does improve load times ..i'll purchase today...and recomend it highly

im running a dedicated server with plenty of power for growth, however have noticed a slight slowness while processing large conversion queues

i have 8 cores 3 workers assigned to music 2 to vids

my questions are and i hope you answer each and every 1 of them

1 does the cloud also function as a cloud based cdn or "cache' server that serves cached images and templates from the clouds nearest or lowest load nodes

2 or is it mostly just for queue handeling off server in a cloud

3 at what point would you say a trafic load would make the performance gain worth the price (i've already spent a bundle and havent gone live yet)


if this functions as a high performance cdn serving static resources of a cached cloud and increases site speed regardless of load then id consider it today

im creating a page that lists all video types and has 3 seperate lists
1 featured videos regardless of source
highest rated regardless of source
newest regardless of source

paul gave me clues for the rating wicch i havent tried yetr due to issues

i tried this code (wich was suggested in another thread but in the main customization forum not sitebuilder)

this should work but the results are

so i tried copying the the jrvideo modules item_list.tpl code into my my_video.tpl in my skin with a search added
and as predicted i got the list of videos in the video module

so i thought the solution was if isset something that identifies it as part of that module use the item_list code from that module elseif ..etc

im very new to this smarty code and am figuring it out little by little

heres my template code as is (note i will also want each of the lists i create to paginate within the page using the js paging as that pagebreak pager true doesnt seem to work in sitebuilder custom built pages)

now i know its wrong and just need a lil help debugging my logic here i think i either need to remove the foreach etc within each section or ..maybe do that and in addition add a if isset($item
foreach item type wrapped around the whole code block?

please be patient with me im struggling to learn a whole new system and language ..and in just a few weeks ive learned a whole lot ..but still get very confused at times

so to summerize i need to use a seemless list in 3 widgets each ordering the list a diferent way each paginating within the page
i just cant get the logic down right to make the template work and imnot sure why its not working without a custom template
