Emails/notifications- not being sent out?

Using Jamroom

In looking at my site's email log this morning (nov 24) it seems notifications and emails are not being sent out at all for two days. See screenshots of both my JR email log and my Mailgun log that I took just now.

For almost two days I've not receiving ANY notifications now from any followed items and discussions I'm subscribed to that have had posts since then, nor from anything for that matter. (My notifications settings have remained all ON.) I did a full integrity check yesterday, but no joy.
Something's quit working...?

By coincidence, I tested all my various email addresses just last night because I was reorganizing my email filters on my desktop- all my email addresses are working fine and delivering.

Adding Members To Groups Administratively?

Using Jamroom

Thanks, you all are so great. Don't worry, if it's important I will bring it up.

Adding Members To Groups Administratively?

Using Jamroom

Yes I do understand. In fact, I've been holding back this month from bringing up too many little issues, knowing you guys are working on constructing and refining some pretty big projects right now. It goes against my nature to keep quiet, but I am making the attempt. :D

Adding Members To Groups Administratively?

Using Jamroom

Is there maybe a way to adapt/expand this invite module's options to include allowing Admins and/or Group Owners to send out a message/notification to all members of a particular group? Several of us have been asking for something like that, and I'm wondering if this invite module could be expanded to cover that function as well...just a thought!
If not, no worries.

Timestamp/timezone question

Using Jamroom

brian:
JR does not adjust timestamps for individual users.

That answers my question. Thanks!

Timestamp/timezone question

Using Jamroom

You know, I've always just assumed that my members all see timezone stamps on my site adjusted to their own location. But my moderator pointed out to me that every post and action on the site has always shown to him in New York eastern time (he's in California and I'm in NY).

Do all my members see all content as having been posted in MY time zone, as opposed to it being adjusted to their own time zone?
If so, is this normal? ...and if so is there any simple way of enabling members to see the site timestamps translated to their own location?

Email Delivery Log message: Unable to connect to MX servers: []?

Using Jamroom

icw- see this related thread where I have recently been having a lot of these similar email fails: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/my_posts/35425/some-aol-addresses-clogging-email-delivery-failures

Are your and my issues in fact the same? (see my screenshot in that thread )

I contacted Mailgun and this is what they told me:

"The error that you are seeing is ESP throttling, and this occurs whenever the recipient's email service provider (ESP) has received a large number of emails from a specific IP in a short amount of time. Due to this, they will not accept messages for a certain period of time (usually an hour) until they have processed all the emails from the original batch sent.
The error code of "421" indicates that this is a soft, temporary bounce. Whenever we attempt to deliver a message and the recipient server returns a soft bounce, we will retry delivery for up to 8 hours in the following intervals: 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hours. Unfortunately this cannot be adjusted and is hard coded in our environment.
I have gone ahead and moved you to a less busy IP, this should reduce the throttling."

That was 2 days ago, and it's happening less now, but still happening- especially with certain AOL member addresses. I'm not so worried about it right now, because I suspect AOL will fix this when their customers complain more, and also I was assured it would not effect my mailgun 'reputation'. FWIW, most of those failed messages do seem to eventually get delivered after two or 3 failed attempts.
