Adding newly joined members to Main Page timeline..?

Using Jamroom

I'm pretty happy with m y site's Index/main page Activity Timelione now, but I'd like to add one more thing to show in it....possible?:

I know there is a content block already on the main page showing a little grid of avatars of latest members, but...
How can I also add it to my index page activity feed whenever a new member joins the network? Adding this via a checkbox is easy in Ning for the main activity feed. It's cool, because the new member avatar (small) appears with a hotlink to their profile, and it says "Sarah Thompson has joined Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer". Often it lists 3 or 4 new members at once, so it may pick the last 3 most recent in 24 hours or something..
I have a great team of 'greeters' in my site who always watch for new members and go leave warm welcome comments on their profile pages. Having the new members pop up in the main page activity feed encourages this and is stimulating for everyone- I find it gets folks activated and wanting to post back right away. :)

Can I insert some bit of code someplace to include new members joining into the activity feed on my index page?

add function to DB Backup module...?

Using Jamroom

So, love the added security of this module and AWS S3 system.
But in the JR module, we have 3 backup choices:
Entire database
Profiles
Modules & Skins

yet in the Restore side of it, we can only choose two options:
Entire database
Profiles

Considering how often I have somehow messed up various skins while learning my way around, wouldn't it be logical to also include just a "Modules and skins" option in the Restore side of the module? Or maybe there's a good reason for it to not be included...?

thanks

Forum post says no HTML allowed, but quota seems ok

Installation and Configuration

Bunch of possible stuff:
Your screenshot shows that you have "Community quota" selected with the allowed html in the list of 'allowed' types.
But- did you actaully try to post it AS a member of the community quota? Maybe not- because YOU are a member of the Admin quota...and any profile can only be in one quota. So...did you do this test signed in AS the community quota profile?- or else check the 'allowed' list for the Admin quota and for the regular member quota.

Also- I have not only "img" listed as 'allowed', but I put in gif, jpg, jpeg, tif, and pdf as well. Because yes. :)

and...not sure if you know, but you need to click on the little film strip (video) icon to add an image file- it gives you a tab for images. A bit unintuitive, but that's how it is.

creating a table in a blog post

Using Jamroom

I see you've now updated that in the Core update. (and I just went in to remove tables from my member quota allowed html...along with H1, and H2...like they 'need' to be screaming about themselves in six foot tall billboards....not. ;D

Hey Brian- I see something about 'ignore white space in compare'....is that fixing the issue where when comparing templates the different 'tab' spaces change and then get seen as code changes in the templates- marking entire sections of the compare code as changed code?
If that fixes that...then YAY, that's been a real headache for me when trying to pull Ningja changes into my custom skin. Thank you!

Oops...ok Brian. Let me see see if I can put the template back to where it was, and tweak the allowed html tags...and I;ll see if the thing works and errors disappear... brb.

Ok- I put the template back as it was, and put in the allowed html, and did full integrity check... so far so good.... ;D

So happy to see the options of buttons available to me in my text editors too- thank you for that link as well. I LOVE that I can now put a table into my main page blog content boxes that I use as 'info modules'. I didn't realize these options were avialable fo rme to add to my text editor, customized to various quotas of my choosing. This is AWESOME. :D

Yeah there's no 'table grid' in the text editor yet for me- I will try that tonight when I get home. Thanks so much for explaining so clearly, too- looks like I can do that!

creating a table in a blog post

Using Jamroom

Im on Ningja
I have the text editor box when creating a blog post. Can someone suggest the way of adding content in a table, like images two columns and 4 rows? I tried creating a table with jpgs in Word and pasting it into the 'code' view, but it didn't translate, not sure if that's the wrong way, or if a table layout is even possible in a blog post? Thanks for any tips or info.
