Saving Pictures

Genosis

From reading the menu choices, it seems you are not yet 'at' where the image is located, but you are instead hovering over the LINK TO where the image resides. If you choose 'open link in new tab' from those choices for example, then on THAT page you should be able to right click and get 'save image'.

And...Sometimes when I get this situation, if I simply click on the image (instead of right clicking on it there), it'll then automatically take me to the image's ACTUAL location page, where i can then get the usual rightclick 'save image' choices. That way I can often bypass having to choose 'open link in new window...' thing.

unable to delete groups I created

Ning To Jamroom

Does this delete function ALSO not work if you go to your profile page and click in YOUR groups and try the trash cans from that location?: http://yoursite.com/yourprofilename/group

How to Change Group Ownership

Ning To Jamroom

My comment on this from another thread:
Yes the business of never being able to change the 'owner/creator' of a Group in Ning has been a big PITA for years. And maybe you recall Paul- when you imported my Ning archive, i was missing about 8 Groups that stayed behind in my archive because the member who created them long ago had left my ning site and no longer had a profile...but their content was left behind, including their active Groups. Thus, you had to go in manually and somehow change those groups in my archive to be owned/created by me instead, and then you re-imported them and they fell under my profile and showed up nicely then. We will have to do this again when i do my 'go live' import soon. This same thing will occur with others who come from ning.
It would be GREAT if in JR going into the future we had the ability to change which profile 'owns' a group. It's incredibly problematic when a member creates a group that becomes active and popular...and then just leaves. For years now I have had my Ning network set up so that only I can create groups, partly because of that. Those few groups you had to transfer were about 5 years old, from before I had that setting in place.

Where are my groups after Ning import?

Ning To Jamroom

Resty- keep remembering that most of the main pages of module content in JR don't have that 's' on the end either- yoursite.com/group, yoursite.com/profile, yoursite.com/audio, yoursite.com/event
even though you can have your top header menu links saying Groups, Events, Members, whatever....the links will still take you to yoursite.com/group, yoursite.com/event ....etc.
Glad I was able to spot that dastardly little 's' and help you out. :)

What exists before we add "additional search fields" in the search module?

Using Jamroom

So, if i understand this...:
we go into our general Search module and we can add in the box "profile_location" if we want to include the member's location in a search on the general /profile page, right?

I remember adding profile_location into the index/tpl search code criteria via acp, so it included: profile_name,profile_url,profile_location . But I don't remember adding that profile_location into that big box in the Search Module itself. Now I see it's there. Did it get added automatically when I added the code to the profile index.tpl, or did I just not remember adding it also to the Search Module's additional fields box?
Do we have to add additional search fields in BOTH places? Or does adding it in one then automatically add it to the other location too? Thanks

Private Events Become Public Events Post-Migration

Ning To Jamroom

Just want to get this straight though- when it comes to GROUPS...the groups in our Ning networks that are set to Private- they will come through the archive and import still as PRIVATE, correct? Need to know this before my moderator group gets 'outed' in the migration. =8-*
(still planning to strip out as much as I can beforehand, just in case though)
