ninja Skin background

Design and Skin Customization

P.S. sometimes.... IF you still wind up with a little top square area on each side bar that stubbornly won't change even though the rest of the page looks good with your new color, you have to do this:
Go into your server via FTP and into your active skin folder. Look in there and go into your IMG folder and pull out a copy of the wrapper_bckgrnd.png file. In some photoshop type program, change the tall rectangle to the color you want to match the rest of the page background, and save a copy of it with the same file name. Put the new one into your skin's IMG folder, replacing the old file.
Then clear cache on your site and you should see that area now be the color you wanted. Maybe there's a more elegant way to do this, but that's the crude way I figured out how to fix the little wrapper area in the page background on my own sites.

In your skin's Style area, in the 'style section' dropdown menu select: html.css. From there, click on the subtabs to check for entries for "page background".

how activity feed shows when member 'attends' event

Using Jamroom

My members pointed this out to me.
When someone creates an Event, it shows properly everywhere. But when another member clicks the box indicating that they are going to attend, it shows up in the main page activity feed and in profile page activity feeds as the Event OWNER is 'going to attend'. The action appears on the event owner's page as they are going to attend...and does not appear on the profile activity feed of the person attending.
See my screenshot. This occurs over and over, each time someone different clicks to attend that event, it keeps looking like the event creator is 'attending' their own event over and over.
Can I change this to properly reflect who is doing the action? (BTW the attendees names do show up correctly on the Event's listing of who is going to be attending)

(And is this a universal thing occurring on other people's Jamroom sites as well? If so, it seems like maybe it should be adjusted, as opposed to custom tweaking only my own site.)

Index Page - Add a menu item

Design and Skin Customization

Hi Emerge! No matter what your skin, the templates in it often have .tpl names that give a pretty good description of what areas they control. For instance if the template is called header_menu_mobile.tpl ...it's where the code is for the header menu items in your mobile version. A template called index_activity.tpl will be controlling some of the things in your site's index(home) page's activity feed. Templates called "profile____.tpl" control stuff on members' profile pages.
Even though I am not skilled at coding, I found it helped me a lot to browse a little inside my skin templates now and then. Many times I see code sections that make me say "Oh, so that's where the coding for controlling ____ is!" Over time I slowly get better at finding where to make little code changes. :)

cometchat & php versions

Using Jamroom

...or as I did, move to Jamroom's SimpleChat, where they fix everything right away at no charge if it ever stops working for some reason. ;D

Preventing accidental deletion of my Forum Profile / disable delete button

Design and Skin Customization

Would I need to do the Profile ones FIRST, and then go back and do the forums one? (like first provide the profile again, and then fill in the profile's content?) Or just do it all in one shot? Is the sequence important?

Brian let me get this straight:
You used that tool to FIRST restore all the tables under 'profiles' in the list, and AFTER that you ran an integrity check and then used the tool again to restore all the tables under 'forum' category in the tool list?
