text editor glitch since today's updates

I just deleted a post about not seeing your replies here, but never mind they finally showed up when I posted my new post.

First- I didn't realize I still had the Beta channel turned on from some past occurance where I needed it on... thank you! Yes I def don't want it on, but will leave it on now until I finish all the current updates, then will turn it off again. I suppose that's the best thing to do now.

This started happening right after I applied todays' JR updates.
First, halfway through the updates, I received a member complaint about not seeing the tinymce Text Editor at all available for Comments and Posts. But once all were updated and integ check and reset cache was done, I re-started my computer just to be sure and now i see this annoying whitish area always below the line where one is typing in all Comment and Forum post editor boxes.. in Groups, in Forums, in Comments on photos, videos, etc.

This is showing on my Windows desktop.. in FF, Safari, and Chrome browsers. The member who complained was seeing it on his PC in Chrome.
It is NOT happening or showing up on my (tablet) iPad- not happening there either on Chrome or Safari.
Will now check my (non mobile) Mac laptop... be right back.
See attachment for how it appears. It's very distracting and ugly. Please note that the cream colored background where my text is typed in the attached image is usually what 'should' be showing in the ENTIRE background of the text editor box.

This will take me a couple days to comb through carefully. Thanks so much for all your work!!

One question-

- Change: Moved new payment module view cart icon to main menu.

....can you tell me in approx which template I would find that change in Ninja ...so I can apply it to my ninja-based Custom skin, please?

Hi Soft,
This suggestion might not be what you have in mind at all, if not just ignore it:
I simply have a link in my site Footer (which appears at the bottom of every page) which allows any member (logged in or not) to click on it and have an email form pop up that's got the "To" field filled out to any email address I've chosen.
here is the code I put in the bottom text area of my custom skin's Footer template:
and on my site the resulting simple text link in the footer looks like the attached image. Of course YOU can customize with bigger font, colored font, or even insert a hotlinked image instead of text. My point is that you can set any email in that contact 'form' that you like. Also it's automatically on every page and can be easily seen by members if you choose to make it more noticeable, or even put it in your header as a hotlink too. But possibly I'm not understanding that you need something more elaborate than just having the members easily able to email you.

Not quite getting this last one. Are you still referring to excess items added BEFORE I had set a hard limit for that quota?
and.. Are you saying the bug fix will now allow the member to see their excess items which would enable them to delete them themselves... meaning that previously they'd not even see the above-limit items at all and thus not be able to delete them?

Under the newest update to the Profiles module, it says this:

- Change: Profile items that exceed the amount allowed in the Quota will now show a "not found" page
- Bug Fix: Profile owners not seeing all items if Hard Limit is set for Quota Limit Type

I'm not understanding. It seems to be saying that members can add more items than their quota permits, ...but that they just won't SEE the extra items. Why would they be able to add more than their quota permits in the first place? Can you help me understand what this is about please?

disalow periods in user names

Suggestions

I seem to recall that underscores in user names in JR used to make the profile invisible to others. Maybe that got fixed though, can't remember exactly.
Soaring, just wondering- have you tried out the Jamroom SimpleChat? I've been using it for almost a year now- I dropped Cometchat after my switch to https. My members like the JR chat a lot, after the usual initial period of several days to get used to it. I imported like 200 smileys too, most are animated.
