Can i change the icon for chat?

Zach, via FTP, go into here and pull a copy of this .png :

yoursite.com/public_html/modules/jrChat-release-1.1.0/img/icons_black/chat-open.png
(-notice its size is 64x64 pixels, and it's background layer is transparent)

Create your own new .png, 64x64 px, and transparent background if desired. Call it chat-open.png and replace the default png with your own, via FTP. (save a copy of the default one in same folder there though, and maybe re-name it "orig_chat-open.png" just in case you need to revert back to it at some point.) Using the same name for your new png is good because if it's called up by code anywhere, it'll now just automatically show your new png wherever called up...just as though it were the original png.

Edit- I just realized that using this method you'd have to do the same replacement each time you updated to a new chat version folder (currently 1.1.0, but eventually a new folder for 1.1.1, etc). This is simple enough to do each time there is a jrChat update...updates tend to slow down after the initial flurry of a new module.
I realize it'd be more elegant to change the codes to always point to your uniquely-named icon INSTEAD of to ,chat-open.png .... but that's beyond my ability and my crude method might just get the job done for you in the meantime. L O L Maybe someone else can tell you how to get it accomplished more permanently.

Thanks for the quick bug fix! My icons are showing again for ADMINS.... this particular issue is now working as it should.

But....
-Could someone please test if this 'edit protection' feature is working though?: - I've got the option checked/Yes for "If this is checked, then 24 hours after a forum topic or follow up is posted, the user will no longer be able to edit or delete the topic." .....but (for me anyway) when I'm logged in as a regular member I still am getting the Edit/Delete icons showing for me on my weeks-old forum posts. Did integ check/cache etc. (My active skin is custom built from ningja.) -Anyone else having this happening?

This has just started happening today, I noticed it after today's updates. I haven't done anything in my site code or skins, aside from applying todays' jr updates.
It's only happening on my fotmd.com site, not on my other (whistle) site.

When signed in as either master admin or a profile admin, I'm suddenly no longer getting two of the button options when hovering over Forum threads and posts (profile forum, site-wide) to either: Delete (trashcan) or Edit (gear). I'm now only getting the quote (speech bubble) icon when hovering. Have no ability to delete or edit Forum posts now.
Note that this has NOT effected Group discussions, where I still get all three hover icons as expected. I also get the usual expected icons on things like video Comments.

It's only happening for Forum posts, and only on my live site (fotmd.com)
This happening for me on FF, Safari, and Chrome,... Happening on my Win desktop and on my iPad too.
Doesn't go away when i switch to my prior custom skin from a few weeks ago, either.

i ran integ check and cache etc.

Ok, with the update everything seems to be working a bit better and faster. I have better control now to make the needed sorting/changes/categories.

It does show up- but only AFTER I succesfully empty the food/party categ by transferring those to some other categ temporarily, like default categ.
Once the food/party is truly emptied and dissappears, then the food-party appears in the options to move smilies to.

Ok, weird...it seems that the major problem here is that any modifications I make to new or emptying categ's take several MINUTES to appear and be valid...even with clearing cache and refresh browser. I just finally got rid of my sad/mad twin. Once the food/party FINALLY disappears (by moving the smileys in it to the default categ temporarily), THEN the option to move it to food-party suddenly is there. So if there are twins, then the moving of smileys to the right twin and getting rid of the wrong twin is a two-step process, since the right categ wont appear in the menu to move it to...until the wrong twin is cleared out already and disappers. Oy, this is hard to explain!
The twinning shuoldnt be happening and is the cause of all these acrobatics afterwards.

I am stuck with the twin categories because when I go to move a smiley, it only gives me the option of the sad/mad categ, the dropdown options don't include the sad-mad (hyphened) categ. that jr created.

It did it to my categ name: misc.
It didn't like the period, so I wound up with TWO categories: misc. and misc
Likewise, it's keeping my original cat name of food/party and adding another twin categ called food-party

I bet it'll do the same if I name a new category: Silly!
