Script in index.tpl generating a syntax error

Ning To Jamroom

That was what was happening. Made the change, saved the template, and reloaded the home page. No errors.

Thanks again.

Asking for input - New Header and Menu concept

Ning To Jamroom

@Strumelia:

A number of very good points.

I will probably tone-up the black and tone down the logo color and member name color as the contrast is high and don't really fit the theme of the site. TBH, I just moved bits around from a screenshot - worried more about overall organization than colors at this moment.

However, when it comes to readability of text on a screen, few things are better than black on white, though that white may be a very light ivory. In chocolate terms, somewhere between the color of cocoa butter and white chocolate. Menu hover and selected states will be the inverse of the default.

Script in index.tpl generating a syntax error

Ning To Jamroom

I am trying to insert my ad server scripts into my site. There is one script that goes into the header (meta.tpl) and that I was able to do with no problem.

However, inserting the following into my index.tpl generates a syntax error and the file is not saved.

<script type="text/javascript">broadstreet.zone(#####, {responsive: true});</script>

I did fix one typo I carelessly inserted which initially kept the file from being saved but even after finding and fixing the typo (mismatched braces) the error is still being generated.

This goes in the member marketplace section.

Context sensitive menu in Tiny MCE editor?

Ning To Jamroom

I have been looking at Tiny MCE shortcuts. I see that there is a plugin that you can use to add an insert image icon into the toolbar.

But that's not it.

I will have to pay more attention the next time it pops up. I can't reproduce it randomly.

Brian -

I had intended to sign up with Mailgun, the question was whether I would do it before or after sending out the invitations. It's going to be before.

Context sensitive menu in Tiny MCE editor?

Ning To Jamroom

Nope. The menu appears where my cursor is. And it suggests that I can insert an image. Cut and paste, too. 4 commands to choose from.

Okay Paul -

Let me know when it's okay to send out all those emails.

Alternatively, I can sign up for a Mailgun account between now and Monday. I have already downloaded the jrMailgun module, I just haven't activated or configured it.

I have fewer than 10,000 members which is their monthly free minimum. Does that get around this issue? Or is Mailgun only used for jrNewsletter emails?

Context sensitive menu in Tiny MCE editor?

Ning To Jamroom

Today, while adding a new post in one of my forum sections, I noticed a context-sensitive menu that appeared at my cursor, prompting me to insert a link or image.

I was only able to do this accidentally, and no combination of mouse downs paired with function keys allowed me to summon the menu on command.

What's the secret? This HAS TO go into my Tips for using the site FAQ,

Coolio. The site will probably become unavailable for a while as DNS changes propagate so I will do this just before going to bed tonight. I have no life outside of this until it's up. Saturday night near NYC and what am I doing? Scheduling meaningful time with my domain registrar. Sheesh.
