moving from home to sub folder

Installation and Configuration

Hi! I found this HowTo: Change The Jamroom Directory Or Domain.

The thing is I want to do the opposite:

changed the directory location of my Jamroom install (for example - moving my Jamroom install from my main HTML directory into a sub directory.

How do I go about this?

2 databases

Installation and Configuration

Hi guys.

I'm getting ready to migrate my JR installation to another server. From the migration dept. I was told this:

"We just checked your site's data and you have 2 databases with over 1GB which is 14.1GB for user_jam5 and 3.1GB for user_jamroom.

As on these we are not so sure what is data related. Although seems can be removed but it is best you reduce the size of this database to avoid errors. "

I lowered the size on one database (reinaa_jam5, I deleted content inside table jr_jruser_session)

but for reinaa_jamroom I still have these:
jamroom_cache_rank - 1.5 GB
jamroom_chart_history - 500 MB
jamroom_chart_cache - 494 MB

1. Are these safe to empty?
2. Does JR uses 2 databases or one of them is old and is safe to discard? (I'm using JR since 2003! :)

jrAudio_1089_audio_file.mp3.original.mp3

Using Jamroom

hey Michael, yes, you are right!

All the mp3s from that folder are bundled into a zip. And this without me having the shop enabled, terrible waste of space... so not only I have duplicate mp3 files, but another zip with more duplicate files :) - This option was back from the 2000s, when we used to buy mp3s.

Anyway, guess I will delete all those... thank your for wonderful help, man!

Thanks, Michael! I understand what you are saying... Is there any chance Brian could see this? I see he's not been active here for a while... although I understand those original files are copies of what's been uploaded, but if I could get his input just to be sure.
