jrAudio_1089_audio_file.mp3.original.mp3

Using Jamroom

thanks Michael!

In my case there are no wav files and no purchase options on my site :)

you say: "if I delete the .original. version the download still works and the player version still works" so in my case it would be safe to delete the ".original" file, right? Do you know about a mass way to do this?

jrAudio_1089_audio_file.mp3.original.mp3

Using Jamroom

Hi! I'm on JR Version: 6.1.7 and I need to free up space on my server.

I noticed I have 2 versions for the same song.

By searching here I found Brian recommends this: "Yes - don't delete the "original" files. Jamroom 5 works a little differently in this regards than JR4, as it always keeps the original file for selling, as well as for the ability to re-convert to new formats or bit rates if needed..." but that was 8 years ago.

The thing is I do not use the lo fi versions anymore so I would like to keep the original files. Is there a way to mass delete these duplicate files? will doing so break the site?

ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"

Installation and Configuration

thanks, Paul... I did not find /data/config/config.php so this is definitely JR4.

I went to https://archive.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Change_MySQL_Password again

I do not have a "settings.zip" file but a "settings.tar.gz" file.

I took the steps but I get the same "ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"..." when going to mysite.com/settings.php

changed permissions from 0644 to 777 but I get the same...

Is there any other way to change dB info?

Thanks! That did bring the data down.

is there a way to clean these?

jr_jrcore_cache (more than 600MB)
jr_jruser_session (about 1,5 GB)(You said "... Deleting this will cause any users logged in to be logged out... but on certain times there are no users logged in)

ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"

Installation and Configuration

Thanks, guys...

the thing is I did not find at /data/config/config.php

Yes, I upgraded from JR4 long time ago... but it's installed on main folder, on top of JR4...

Where should be the database details so I can change them?

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, that is VERY useful.

However, I still see data inside the log debug table... or that's what I think it is... take a look:

ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"

Installation and Configuration

Just today I found one of my sites with this

ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"
MySQL error 1045 - Access denied for user 'mysite_jamroom'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I tried this but did not work: https://archive.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Change_MySQL_Password

I guess because I have installed JR5..?

Thank you, Michael.

I deleted the debug log by going to the location you mentioned and also did another integrity check... but the numbers are the same, nothing was deleted...

Is it safe to delete the info there using Tools / Database Admin?
