Host suggesting problem with .htaccess

Installation and Configuration

If the issue started with a change to the item_detail.tpl of youtube, that would be my best guess as to where to look to start with.

I'd be REAL surprised to hear that altering the item_detail.tpl file caused the .htaccess file to start having issues. (sarcasm, thats not the issue!!!!)

What were you trying to add? some javascript? then the issue is probably it needs {literals}

Docs: "{literal}{/literal}"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/module-developer-guide/3011/literal-literal

I'm about to go to bed now, so doing a server setup could be a push. The site is easiest to move to jamroom hosting when it is up. There is a hosting transfer module that lets it import right in, but if the site isn't up, that method isn't an option.

Chat Visibility?

Using Jamroom

The chat will only show for logged in users, if a logged out user tries to access the chat it will redirect them to the login screen.

eg: try accessing the stand alone chat while logged out yoursite.com/chat/mobile and you will be redirected.

It requires the user to be logged in to make sure they have access to the room. Only users with access to the room can view each room.

Atypical Site Builder Widget

Jamroom Developers

You COULD build it AS a widget, but since you're not planning on releasing the thing as a module, what I would do would be to use the TEMPLATE CODE widget along with a custom smarty function from your module and put all the logic into the function.

So in the TEMPLATE CODE widget would go:
{xxSomeModule_foo}

and in your module xxSomeModule build the custom smarty function:

removing home from index page title

Installation and Configuration

I still think its a problem with your .htaccess file because I can still visit
http://www.dreadlockssite.com/

and not be redirected to the https version, as for why I don't know.

Support ticket issues

Installation and Configuration

Docs for how to setup the webhook part of the support ticket are here:

Docs: "Support Ticket : configuring with mail gun"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/2046/support-tickets#configuring-support-tickets-to-work-with-mailgun-optional

The tickets created by admin do go into email inquires, if they are replied to by a user with an account then they become tickets.

Unable to install jrgenosois

Genosis

First guess is the server you're using is not able to use the 'symlink' function. Go to:
ACP -> MODULES -> CORE -> SYSTEM CORE -> TOOLS -> SYSTEM CHECK

and make sure all the lights are green. Then run the integrity check from
ACP -> MODULES -> CORE -> SYSTEM CORE -> TOOLS -> INTEGRITY CHECK

If your server cant use the 'symlink' function then its probably going to run into other problems too, but if you still want to try out Genosis, you can download it from here directly as the full genosis package and install that on your server.

https://www.jamroom.net/genosis

--edit--
Another possible cause is that your apache server is not allowed to use the rename() function. This probably would not show up in the system check, you'd need to ask your hosting company to allow this.

Installation and Configuration

if you have this setting ON you should be redirected to the https page if you visit the http page:
ACP -> MODULES -> USERS -> USERS -> GLOBAL CONFIG -> SITE SETTINGS -> Create SSL URLs

If there is still a problem with the profile domain, try deleting it, then re-adding it.
