Yeah, it just makes an exact copy of whatever is there at the time of cloning. So what they end up with is what they have at the time of cloning.

If a button is active at cloning time it will be active after cloning, they can then turn it off. Or deactivate it before cloning.

The issue is that there is no function called jrCode_list. What your after is jrCore_list

Putting in functions that don't exist could break the page.

If you find the page is broken from something you put in a widget, use repair=true in the url to get back to the widget editing screens.

eg:
your-site.com/somepage

use
your-site.com/somepage/repair=true

to load the widget headers without the content.

I figure "clone" means clone. If they want a fresh skin to start with after, they can easily go into the TEMPLATES tab and hit the 'Reset' button.

Or they could do that before they cloned the skin. Seams like the right way to do it. Take a look and see what you think. I'll push it in a couple of hours.

I'm not writing the ACP changes out to the file system, just copying them over as template alteration. So the file system changes will still be of the base skin.

adding language strings

.tpl files are very similar to .html files.

What you put in them determines what comes out on the screen.

So wherever you were going to try to put {jrCore_lang skin="CustomSkin" id=100 default="Blogs"} to get the word 'blog' to come out, then thats where can just use the word instead.

as to where you want to put it, I can't decide that for you. Just saying that everywhere you see {jrCore_lang....} know that that is part of the system to allow language customization. If you don't need to use language customization, you don't need to.
