@caper I think your site still needs some work. It could look awesome, but still needs some polish.

* the alignments in a lot of places seam out.
* the text in the header is of 2 different sizes
* the text in the header is on 2 different levels
* the links under calendar dont work
* the image alignments stick outside the box
* the social buttons are out of alignment
* there is no info on the contact us page.

Im sure you'll get there and are putting a lot of effort into it. just needs a little more polish before we can put it up as a prime example of what its possible to do with Jamroom.

Keep going.

Here are some screenshots of what im seeing:

New JR I am lost

Off Topic

I think your just unfamiliar with JR5.

There is no 'control panel' in JR5.

Try this course to get you up to speed with JR5:

"Start Your Own Online Community"
https://www.udemy.com/start-your-own-online-community

or pick and choose from some of the videos on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/user/jamroomdotnet

Quote: Where will this function show?
You can put it wherever you like. perhaps a template in the skins called site.com/download-data

This doc has an example very close to what your after; using the users profile id to get some data from the datastore.

"use {capture} to avoid using another file for {jrCore_list} calls"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/howto/1637/howto-use-capture-to-avoid-using-another-file-for-jrcore-list-calls

CDN

Using Jamroom

You would clone whatever skin you wanted to use, then update the links you wanted updating.

Because you cloned the skin you can make any changes you want to without the skin being effected by updates because its a different skin.

If you want to know whats different, compare the templates before/after. All the updates are put in their own directory and left on the server when an update comes in.

The alternative is to use the template editor in the ACP to edit the templates without creating a new skin. (I wouldn't do it this way as its pretty large scale, clone the skin is better). This way you could use the built in template compare what changed.

The trace data will be available via the standard listing function:

"{jrCore_list}"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/89/jrcore-list

so you can make that into any format you want.

Developers in Auckland, New Zealand

Jamroom Developers

I'm out in Auckland NZ now visiting family. If any developers are out here and want to get together to discuss jamroom, lets meet up.

Marketplace updates- Sometimes have to install twice

Installation and Configuration

I cant check it anymore as I dont have a system that will fail. But will keep an eye out for it in future to see and will wait when I have a system where its reproducable to use it for testing.

Empty module features headings showing

Using Jamroom

SteveX:...Shouldn't comments and tags have an {if} around the header, or default text if there are none?...

Yeah, I guess they should...maybe... not sure. Doug?

design concept I think. "You can comment here, but there arnt any yet so login and make one" vs "there are none, so dont even show the header."
