Question about banning email domain and OneAll social (facebook)

Using Jamroom

Question.

1. I want to ban email domain "facebook.com".
Is the correct syntax in banned items module: "@facebook.com"?

2. I will be enabling OneAll module in a few weeks. Will the banned item above have any bearing on signup/login?
My understanding is that the OneAll module uses the email that the user signed up with (on FB), not their xxx@facebook.com email. Is that correct?

Thank you in advance,
B

Newsletter success!

Just wanted to chime in here.

Just used the stock newsletter module to send out 14,000 emails w/ 5 second interval.

- Mailgun free account
- Digital Ocean hosting

Is there a place where I can go to view the bounces?

GREAT JOB guys! *thumbs up*

Disable audio uploads but retain the audio on profiles

Installation and Configuration

Hello,
Refresh my memory again on how I can accomplish this:

1. I want to disable audio uploads (side wide). I understand I may need to do this for each quota.
2. I want to still display (stream/download) existing audio that artists have uploaded.

What I'm doing is sunsetting my audio upload feature. I simply can't compete with SoundCloud and their player. I will just have my site showcase the artist profile w/ their bio/YT vids, SC audio.

It's becoming increasingly difficult (and confusing for new users) to have the ability to upload audio and also import SC. I want to simplify the approach to hosting audio. Also, I am rethinking how I want to monetize the site, and it will not involve hosted audio unfortunately.

Thanks for your time

Display last login IP for user/profile

Suggestions

IIRC, in JR4, when deleting a user account it would prompt (or have check boxes?) to ban the IP also. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But anyways, what I came across today was a spammer in my forum. Typically when this happens I will ban the username, in some cases ban the email domain, and then ban the IP.

I noticed when browsing to the tools section of both user profiles, and user accounts there was no listing for the user's last login IP.

It would be helpful if this information was displayed somewhere at a glance in either the account/profile browser.

OR, perhaps when deleting the user you have the option to BAN the IP, BAN username, BAN email... something to that effect.

I'm not sure if that would help anyone else, but whenever I'm deleting someone from my system, 90% of the time it's because they are a spammer...and I don't want them back.

Thoughts?

Pet Peeve

Off Topic

People who want code support yet ignore their own spelling, grammar and punctuation on the thread they create.
You want code? Start by cleaning up your own syntax.

LAZY.

I need some help creating a CSS map

Using Jamroom

izhmel:
So you are saying a 4 to 6 task operation + learning a new software that takes more time and the artists don't even knows firebug exist and have to get it, is better than a 3 task operation that requires no additional software or learning is better than the 3 task operation ?

It's not about that. It's about enabling YOURSELF with the tools and resources to find the answers on your own. Or at least get you one step closer to gathering the correct info before posting on JR forums.

What I have done in the past is use a program called Screencast-omatic. I record/dictate my actions and thoughts as I click through the website and describe what is going through my mind (as an admin and user) and then post here on JamRoom Forums.

EVERYTIME, the JR team can understand what is being clicked, and what is going through my head so that they can better understand what the problem is. I have rarely had any of these types of issues go longer that 4 or 5 responses to get it solved. In almost each case it resulted in a Bug Fix / Module update.

Maybe this is the direction you need to look into.

Here's an example of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w43wqeCzqd4

Good luck!
