No Flag images in the jrElastic Skin

Using Jamroom

Also, the code in the documentation page needs to be updated.

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/541/translate-jamroom-into-another-language

The following piece of code needs to be removed:

{$jamroom_url}

The site url in the image location url is being added twice, making the image location invalid.

Example:

<img title="Spanish" src="http://www.site.com/http://www.site.com/skins/jrElastic/img/flags/es.png" alt="ES">

The JR Team member reading this post, please consider updating the documentation.

Thanks

No Flag images in the jrElastic Skin

Using Jamroom

douglas:
If you have access to Nova, MediaPro or ProJam, you can get the flag diretory from one of those skins and copy it to your Elastic skin.

If you do not have access to one of those skins, let me know and I'll and zip up the directory and add it here for you.

Thanks. I own a ProJam license. I have managed to copy the flags folder from there to the Elastic skin img folder. It works. Thanks for helping.

No Flag images in the jrElastic Skin

Using Jamroom

douglas:
The Elastic skin was never setup for multi languages, therefore there were never any flag images added to it.

Hi Doug,

Well, that's really bad and very deceiving news. Then, I am lost if the Elastic skin was never setup for multi languages. Now I understand why I am really having a tough time trying to build a multi languages website using the Site builder. There is no tutorial, no documentation at all about doing it with the site builder. I have tried many thingw and I still can't figure out how to achieve it.

I have posted a question about it here and I am still waiting for a reply:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/using-jamroom/34639/how-to-build-a-jrelastic-multilingual-based-site-using-the-site-builder

Hope the JR Dev Team will help.

Thanks

Unable to create the Audio Page using the Site Builder

Using Jamroom

I think I have found the problem. The menu page url "audio" is rather conflicting with the "Combined Audio" module which module url is also "audio" in the info tab, not with the Audio module ("Audio Support" module which module url is "uploaded_audio" in the info tab)

Can I proceed and change the "Combined Audio" module url from "audio" to "audios"? Will it affect the way the "Combined Audio" module works?

Thanks.

Unable to create the Audio Page using the Site Builder

Using Jamroom

paul:
That should work. Change it in the Audio module's 'Info' tab.

Thanks Paul but in the Audio module's 'Info' tab it is like this "uploaded_audio" not "audio".

Any other idea?

Thanks

No Flag images in the jrElastic Skin

Using Jamroom

Hello JR Team,

I am trying to create a multilingual site. Using the site builder, I have created a widget (html editor). Then place the following code to the source code according to the documentation:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/541/translate-jamroom-into-another-language

<a href="?set_user_language=es-ES"><img src="{$jamroom_url}/skins/{$_conf.jrCore_active_skin}/img/flags/es.png" alt="ES" title="Spanish"></a>
<a href="?set_user_language=en-US"><img src="{$jamroom_url}/skins/{$_conf.jrCore_active_skin}/img/flags/us.png" alt="US" title="English US"></a>
<a href="?set_user_language=fr-FR"><img src="{$jamroom_url}/skins/{$_conf.jrCore_active_skin}/img/flags/fr.png" alt="FR" title="French"></a>

The change shows on the frontend site but there is no flag image. I have investigated and noticed that the jrElastic Skin doesn't have the "flags" sub-folder in its "img" folder .

Please advise.

Thanks

Unable to create the Audio Page using the Site Builder

Using Jamroom

Hi Paul,

Now things make sense. Thanks a lot.

What about if I change the audio module url name from "audio" to "audios" in the Audio module settings (Audio support > language > custom language strings > Menu)? Will it affect the way the audio module work?

Because in many languages like French, Portuguese and i think Spanish too, the word "audio" is an invariant noun. It doesn't have a plural form (It doesn't use "s" at the end). it will be wrong (grammarly) to write "audios".

That is why i would like to change the Audio module name url to "audios" (it less appears on the site and nobody will care. it is hidden). Then, I will name the page menu i created "Audio" (because it's more public. People will notice it more). Hope it makes sense.

What do you think?

Regards.

How to create child menu items (drop downs) using the Menu Builder

Using Jamroom

Hi Paul,

It works. Thanks a lot. It was simple and easier to achieve but I didn't think about it ;)

You should consider adding this information to the tutorial. I have searched the Documentation and I couldn't find any entry about how to create a child menu item using the Menu Builder.

You guys from JR team are genius. I love this menu builder. Great tool, Great Job! Congratulations.

Thanks again.

Unable to create the Audio Page using the Site Builder

Using Jamroom

Hello,

I have built the menu using the menu builder including the menu item called "audio". I have also managed to create pages but I am unable to create the "Audio" page.

Whenever I visit site.com/jamroom/audio and hit the "Yes, Create this page" button, nothing happens. The page just loads and returns the something. No page is created.

I have already checked the integrity and cleared my JR cash but unfortunately it didn't fix my issue. I definitely don't know what I am doing wrong. Is this a bug?

Please help. Thanks in advance.
