Payment Question

Using Jamroom

I have a business idea and I would like to us JR. I figured I would throw this question out there and see if I could do this without any modifications to the code or the need to create a module.

Here's what I need JR to be able to do:

I'm trying to sell a service which is custom to every customer. Let's say for this example that I'm creating HTML pages. There are three HTML pages the person can purchase.

A. 1 line page for $1
B. 2 line page for $2
C. 3 line page for $3

So, he orders the $3 page and enters the information he wants on the page and pays for the page to be created. When I'm done creating the $3 page, I upload that page or provide the page in text form for him to view. The product would have to be able to be created after the payment and accessible to him once I was finished creating the page.

Obviously, I could take the delivery off the site. Send him the html file outside of JR. But I would like it to be delivered through the JR interface.

Is something like this currently possible?

Hashtag Question

Using Jamroom

Does JR have #hashtag ability? I know the question is kind of open, but people are so use to using hashtags, if there was a module or something which could lists hashtags, rank hashtags, etc. I think that would be a great feature.

Maybe the ability is already built into JR. I was looking around the docs and didn't see anything specifically relating to hashtags. I figured I would ask.

Just a thought, since you guys all use phpstorm and love it, maybe you could contact phpstorm and offer to sell the program on JR. Maybe get a discount for JR users?

I see it's $99 for most people. Maybe by being an affiliate you can get JR customers a discount.

Just a thought.

NGINX and JR

Installation and Configuration

I think the biggest hurdle would be the control panel. Not many people want to run a server straight up. Most want to use cPanel. I have to admit cPanel does make things a lot easier.

I know IPSconfig supports NGINX... actually I believe it's one of the only panels that does. I know cPanel has a plugin, but I think that's not the combo that is the best.

Taking things a step further, if the JR team made a lightweight NGINX control panel for JR that the average user could use to manage the server, you could probably make some nice $$. I know I would use it. Managing servers is hard. Keeping up with all the updates, etc is another layer on top of managing my sites.

NGINX and JR

Installation and Configuration

Honestly, I would really love to see JR and NGINX together. It would also be great to have a guide for setting up a NGINX server. I created a guide how to setup NGINX but it needs some tweaking.

NGINX with PHP-FPM and JR I think would be a winning combo!

NGINX and JR

Installation and Configuration

Since I haven't really seen anything relating to installing JR on NGINX I wanted to create a post to see if JR was able to be installed on NGINX.

I totally realize the Apache is king... for now. But NGINX is really rising fast and IMHO is an amazing piece of software.

For years I've used Adobe Dreamweaver to code. I've become very comfortable using Dreamweaver. I really don't use it for more than anything but straight up coding.

Recently, I've decided to cancel my $50 a month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. I have an older version of Creative Suite Web Premium 5 that I can use but Dreamweaver in CC 5 is horrible.

I'm running Windows and I'm looking for another editor. I've seen phpstorm mentioned on this site a couple of times. I've also downloaded Sublime Text 3 which looks very nice.

Does anyone have any recommendations for both FREE and PAID editors?
