Payment Question

I have a business idea and I would like to us JR. I figured I would throw this question out there and see if I could do this without any modifications to the code or the need to create a module.

Here's what I need JR to be able to do:

I'm trying to sell a service which is custom to every customer. Let's say for this example that I'm creating HTML pages. There are three HTML pages the person can purchase.

A. 1 line page for $1
B. 2 line page for $2
C. 3 line page for $3

So, he orders the $3 page and enters the information he wants on the page and pays for the page to be created. When I'm done creating the $3 page, I upload that page or provide the page in text form for him to view. The product would have to be able to be created after the payment and accessible to him once I was finished creating the page.

Obviously, I could take the delivery off the site. Send him the html file outside of JR. But I would like it to be delivered through the JR interface.

Is something like this currently possible?

sounds like your wanting to sell a service. I think that module already exists.

* "Buy a 1 Line webpage for $1"
* "Buy a 2 Line webpage for $2"
* "Buy a 3 Line webpage for $3"

3 services get listed on your profile. Is that right?

Yea, but the service would have to have a return result after the purchase. I wouldn't be a closed ended service. They would order and pay and the delivery would be delivered after I finished the project.

I hope I'm explaining this correctly.

customer order > customer pay > create finished product > deliver > available to member on site as purchased product

Is this like a one, two or three line ad. you want to sell?
How about creating '1 line', 2 line' and '3 line' subscription quotas, then with the Form Designer, add in custom profile text fields for each line allocated to the appropriate quotas, then your users can subscribe to the appropriate quota and get the lines to fill in for themselves.
Then you build template(s) to show the line(s).

Its the service module you want. Make a site like fiverr.com

* someone buys a service,
* you do the service,
* deliver the service
* mark that order as closed.

Here's a screenshot. We're going to put that up on jamroom.net too for users to offer JR related services sometime in the near future.

Yea, that it! Sell the service. The only thing I believe is missing is the ability to enter custom fields which must be filled as a condition before the order is placed.

For my example... the person has to fill out what they want in the html page. So, before they pay, they would be prompted to enter what they want. And I should be able to determine conditions of that information. Fillin a checkbox, enter text input, etc.

That extra stuff can all be added with the "Form Designer"

Excellent. I'll take a look at that. I finally got a server and will be able to finally install JR.

Thanks again!
