Jamroom 5.1.5 has been released!
12/09/13 11:36:28AM, by brian
I've just finished updating the Marketplace with Jamroom Core 5.1.5, plus a ton of module updates as well: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket Jamroom Core 5.1.5 has a cool new feature - Item Action Buttons: Item Action Buttons are an all new setup that we wanted to get into the initial 5.1.0 release, but it took a little longer to get it completed. This is a really nice update that lets module developers add "action buttons" to an items index/list/detail pages (i.e....
Do Jamroom sites use cookies?
01/14/17 05:01:32AM, by researchcooperative
The Privacy Statement at Jamroom does not go into detail about how private information is collected. It only comments on how private information is used. This may be related to the question above - do Jamroom sites use cookies? If they do, where can we control them, as administrators? And if they do, would it be possible for JR sites to have anything like a "CookieConsent" module used by Drupal? https://www.drupal.org/project/cookieconsent

PaintMyPhoto - Ning to Jamroom Migration
05/28/15 09:06:30AM, by Artemis
Not a question, but perhaps a useful review for anyone considering a move from Ning to Jamroom. I have been working closely with Jamroom over the last few weeks to help @roy-simmons move his site, PaintMyPhoto, from Ning to Jamroom. It has been a huge task, with 26,000 members and 100,000+ high resolution images to move. We elected to use Jamroom's hosting service (which is working very well for us). In a past life I worked with many software companies, but I have to say that Jamroom hold...

PHP 8 Support for Jamroom
12/31/20 07:52:00AM, by brian
Recently PHP 8 was released and I wanted to just post a quick update about Jamroom support for PHP 8. Currently Jamroom will NOT work correctly on PHP 8 - this isn't due to the Jamroom code itself (which runs no problem on PHP 8) , but Jamroom relies on a number of 3rd party libraries, One of the larger 3rd party libraries Jamroom uses is "Smarty" which is used for processing templates. Currently a version of Smarty that supports PHP 8 is in the works, but it's not released yet - once...
Make Jamroom site private

Am I right in thinking that I can make a Jamroom site private, rather than public? If so, how can I do this.
3 NING sites to 1 Jamroom Questions
07/20/16 07:48:12AM, by Keith Mauck
I need some clarification on what we need to do to have 3 NING forums, successfully migrated to 1 Jamroom site. I plan on continuing the use of the current 3 domain names for some time--they will map to a new JR forum. In past threads you told me that each new NING group could become a category in the JR forum, that sounds good. A few more questions. 1. Do I need 3 separate JR profiles for each NING site I plan on migrating? You can see the tabs at ShaleForum.com for the sites, when they...
