RSS Feed and Reader

  • What it does

    RSS Feed and Reader works both ways:

    • Feeds of your content: each module's newest items are available as an RSS feed, for feed readers and other sites.
    • Other sites' feeds on yours: show the latest posts from another site's RSS feed in your templates or Site Builder pages.

    ACP > Modules > Listing > RSS Feed and Reader

  • Your site's feeds

    Each module's feed is at yoursite.com/feed/(module address), for example:

    yoursite.com/feed/audio
    yoursite.com/feed/blog
    yoursite.com/feed/gallery
  • To change what a module's feed contains, put a template named (module)_item_rss.tpl in your skin, such as skins/(your skin)/jrAudio_item_rss.tpl.

  • Showing another site's feed

    1. On the RSS Feed Browser tab, create a feed. Enter a Feed Name and the Feed URL of the other site's RSS feed.
    2. Show it with the RSS Feed Site Builder widget, or in a template:
    {jrFeed_list name="your_feed_name"}
  • {jrFeed_list}
