The Spam Blocker module checks input from your users to see if it contains spam.
Overview
When a new user signs up to your site, you can put them in a probation period where everything they post is run through the spam filters, you can strip all the HTML they post and take action on URL's they post.
This is to deter users from signing up to your site and posting a bunch of spammy comments with links back to their non-related site. -
The spam filter that is used is provided by akismet.com
akismet.com
You will get your Akismet API Key when you signup to the site.
Paste that key into the GLOBAL CONFIG tab of the module in your ACP.

If you have activated the Askimet part of the Spam Blocker module, then any newly created item will be sent off to akismet and checked to see if its spam or not. If Askimet returns that "Yes this is spam" then the item will be tagged as 'pending' and will appear to your admin users at
DASHBOARD -> PENDING -> (item type)
From there the admin can either approve or delete the offending item.
